Last Game
 2005 Tournament Recap
I think all would agree that we had a very successful tournament. We were one goal (2-1 loss) away from a shoot-out in the final on Sunday, against Gordie Clark's Boys. Both teams had their chances, including a missed penalty for us. However, regardless of the outcome, the FB's proved that we can pretty well play with anybody.
How we got to the final:
Game 1: 1-0 win against Evergreen - Gary Venuti Scored.
Game 2: 1-1 tie against Ben United - Mike Clark scored with only 10 men and 12 minutes to go, Gerry Brady gets a red card.
Game 3: 3-0 win against North Delta Stingers - Val scores the first, Derek scores the second and Steve Greening scores the third.
Game 4: 1-2 loss against Gardie Clarks team - Gary Venuti scores, Steve Greening hits the post and Matt Miner gets stopped on a penalty.
The referee named Barry Makela the MVP for the final. I believe he got it right. Congratulations Barry.
I would also like to thank all of you that helped out with running the tournament. I believe that we probably did more than any other single team. Thanks boys you did us proud. I would like to single out Steve Evans Matt Miner and Rodger Murray for their incredible efforts, with regards to the BEER operations. Also, I want to acknowledge Tim Barry for handling the money throughout the tournament. This is a very important and difficult job that Tim handled with ease.
