Alcoholica's Collection

About Me and my Site:

Hello, and welcome to my Metallica collection site. The layout of the site is currently undergoing some changes, but have a look around.

I am from Canada and have been a Metallica fan since late 1985. I have created this site in an effort to catalogue my collection and as a place to trade items with other collectors. In addition I would like to share some of the photos of rarities in my collection with anyone who is interested to have a look. I collect Metallica vinyl mainly (official and bootlegs) and cd's, but i'm not the kind of collector who wants to have every pressing ever released, I just collect the ones I like or find interesting and of course being Canadian I tend to focus on all the Canadian editions. Another main aspect of my collecting is concert posters/flyers.

I am mainly concerned with the classic and in my opinion the best period of Metallica (ie Kill to Justice) but I have interest in some other items as well. I don't collect fake junk, cd-r garbage, crappy homemade acetate bootlegs or items with a lack of proof that they are authentic (53rd and 3rd, red logo ride, maylasian junk or a few others). Does this upset a few people? Sure, but this is my opinion, and I encourage all collectors to form their own. I also do not collect or have any interest in mispress stuff, I want my copy of Ride the Lightning to play Ride the Lightning, not classical music??!! If you are interested in any mispress items I may have on my page, contact me and we can work out a trade.

I have also created a page displaying the rest of my non Metallica collection. I am always interested in buying metal records in particular, so if you can help in my quest for the steel, give me an email. Thanks for visiting and have a look around and enjoy.

A note regarding "Top 100" items: The Top 100 list is not the bible, most collectors do not support this list. It is merely one mans biased opinions and it is debatable whether a few items are even official or desirable. Collecting should be done for oneself and a top 100 list should include opinions from all collectors.
