NO HIGH-RISE

·       Give the people a say

·       Make our Council listen

·       Make our Government listen

·       No private ownership of our foreshore

·       Maintain Albany’s Heritage

·       Keep our precious harbour views

·       Keep our jetty

·       Keep the port road safe

·       Esplanade for the Waterfront

·       Marina and one storey coffee shop, restaurant, marine shops

·       Keep Emu Point coastal land

·       Put AEC somewhere appropriate

 

 

·                    Landcorp has not adequately assessed the opinion of the people. Has given misleading and minimal pictures and information. Many didn’t know what was going on until things were passed.

 

·                    High rise is not suitable for our foreshore as it blocks the harbour from the town. Blocks views and takes space.

 

·                    Waterfront is the wrong place for an entertainment centre. No good reasons ever given by council or Landcorp for this decision.

 

·                    Traffic and safety issues

 

·                    Heritage issues

 

·                    What is wanted on waterfront

Landscaped parkland west of jetty. Marina east of jetty two level maximum, one level preferred. Marina and tourist related shops,coffee shop, café, restaurant.
