    For lack of a better term than this, I grew rather bored of coding for this; Mainly because I didn't have a host and there was no real way to test out updates that I had been putting towards the game. Tetsuya, had offered his skills as a coder to me before the game had gone down initially, and after it did I pretty much brushed the project aside and let it build up dust. I recently gave Tetsuya the source and have given him the right as a co-owner. I will continue to help with updates, but he will most likely be doing the brute of the work for now.

    Well, I've been neglecting the site more or less in order to be sure that I don't have to make this post again. Mikau, has kindly offered to host the game for me and thus far we haven't had any issues with hosting since. Now the arduous task of finding and killing all known bugs while also adding in new things to make the game more convenient for the player is on hand. Also, the game may no longer be based upon the Inheritance trilogy. Considering how hard it has been to get people to role-play, because there is no truly set environment. This won't change the combat system at all, because I feel no need to do such a thing when it has nothing to do with the role-playing. So the forums are open to ideas on a new setting and storyline.

    There is no stopping us now. I-Nirvana-I, the previous host has gone up to BYOND version 4.0; and has accepted hosting ATT once again. This allows for a better version of the game to get out to the public and for me to refuel my will to continue to code for the game. If there are no players, there will be no game, remember that if you wish for me to continue working on this. It's a hobby, but life easily takes over it.

    Lately I haven't had any luck at getting a host. digitalBYOND has me on a list for when their new servers get up I will be able to have that up. But, it looks like it won't be ready until possibly January. So if you can find a host that is able to do so 24/7 and is running on BYOND 4.0, have them send an email to alagaesiatot@gmail.com. There are quite a few updates in the 4.0, which will require a pwipe, so the sooner it does occur the better. If the host is found and is reliable and stays up and doesn't abuse in any way, I will reward the player that helped find the host as well.

    Well, downtime on the digitalBYOND server is taking some time. Hopefully the change will happen soon, but I haven't even gone near Alagaesia for some time now. The reason being a cross from school and life in general, but I am waiting for the 4.0 server to roll around before attempting any new ideas or updates. Other than that, nothing eventful has happened as of lately. Also, Halo 3 is fun; but far too over-hyped.

    Well, with digitalBYOND hosting drawing closer every day; I have been working on making a BYOND 4.0 skin for Alagaesia. I feel content with a simple, yet effective system. I don't see what the big fuss about 4.0 has been, the only reason Alagaesia isn't using it right now is because the current host is using BYOND 3.5 . The most common complaint about 4.0 when it has to do with Alagaesia is the use of the commands and tabs area being horizontal instead of vertical. Which I find to be a petty little issue to get so frustrated and not use over. Everything takes adapting, this very move to BYOND 4.0 involved me recoding 72 skills, 17 Traits, 36 spells, just about anything that posted a message to you via the text box. The skills, spells, and traits alone amassed 4750 lines of code. Then there is redoing all of the chat system and everything else.

    So, when you start whining about how you needed to upgrade to 4.0; stop and think about that. I will be the first person to treat you like total crap for having to do a few simple clicks and install files, which you can easily back-up your 3.5 files and revert if you absolutely think it is needed. Below is a link to a picture of the current skin, I don't plan on making it look all fancy; at least not for now while I know absolutely nothing about skins for 4.0

    Well, I seem to have the same luck with all of my hosts. Thus far just about every single host I have is either an abusive admin or cheats in game. Of course their status as a host usually makes the game owner allow them to do such things, but I am no pushover. I would rather have my game down than have a cheating host. I have sent in an email to digitalBYOND about buying a hosting package from them. Hopefully they will allow it and the server should be up within the next few days. This will in fact, result in a p-wipe. If you have anybody to blame at this point, it would be Cunla(Key: Syoku.)
