About Me

I am a Telecommunication professional and my interests include Telecommunications and overall balanced development of the students. My brief Biodata is presented here: -

Prof A K  Nigam M. Tech ( Electronics) from IIT Kanpur in 1987. I am a fellow member of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineers (IETE) and life member of ISTE. I also possesse Advance Diploma in Management (ADM)  and Post Graduate Diploma in Telecommunications. I have received extensive training in Telecommunications from Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) and Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE). I have extensively worked in the field of Telecommunications and Education for over 29 years. I have honor of being picked up as a member of a core group for fielding and managing state of Art Packet Switching Network of National Importance on western border covering a span of over 1000 kms. Prime Minister dedicated the Network to Nation in 1994. I have also been head of a task force for provision of communication in difficult Kargil and Leh region during outbreak of hostilities. I was actively involved in development and deployment of highly mobile Area Grid Mobile Communication System developed for Indian army which involved integration of switching equipments, Radio Relays & Radio, Satellite communication and other diverse equipments and media.

              Currently I am serving as Professor with Institute of Technology and Management, Gurgaon, Haryana, India in ECE & EI department. Prior to present assignment my assignments included Nirma University of Science and Technology, Institute of Technology, Ahmedabad, Gujarat as senior faculty member, PUNWIRE Mobile communications Limited as Regional Manager and Corps of Signals, Indian Army as commissioned officer from where I retired prematurely as Lieutenant Colonel
