About
In memory of Hideto "hide" Matsumoto:

He was a great person. He had great aspirations and dreams, great talent and great personality. I know of nobody that was more noble than he, though his death was far from noble. He was a beautiful person inside, and I know we all miss him. I have yet to meet someone who dislikes his songs; they at least like -one-. His skill, unrivalled. I have yet to hear a greatest guitarist than he. Though he wasn't as talented as some with his vocals, his voice fit his songs, which were composed beautifully. The music went with the words and vice-versa. His music ranges from hard rock, to ballads, to pop, and each song is unique. Each song has that unique hide sound to it; you can tell when you're listening to hide. Each song is equally beautiful, equally different. hide was a brilliant musician, and a brilliant person. He did a bone marrow transplant for one of his fans, which is said to be the most painful transplant (for the donor). He is greatly missed by all, to the point where people attempt suicide, following him to the afterlife. Though he is put up on a pedestal by many fans, he is still a person. A person who made a sad mistake, who I believe, knew not the consequences of what he was doing. He is loved and remembered after his death, living on through his music and through his fans. He is remembered by them, remembered by his friends and his family. Yoshiki would be glad to see how hide's fanbase continues to grow, and how those fans stay loyal to him. hide, he deserves the love, the attention, and the affection from the multitudes that care. He, hide, will always be remembered. He will always be loved. There will always be at least one person who remembers him and loves him, and his music.

So, in conclusion to the memorial, I bid thee farewell, hide. While I will eventually come to accept your physical death, and get over it, I will continue to mourn your loss, on your memorial day. On May 2nd. It will continue to be a holiday to me, as well as your birthday, as I am sure it will be to many other fans. I love you, and I am sure others do, too. You were a legend while you lived, and continue to be a legend after your death. You made the world a better place, and I am sure others do agree with me.

Good-bye, hide, Hideto Matsumoto. We love you. We always will. We will always remember you.

Love,
   Your Fans

RIP hide... May 2nd, 1998. We'll always remember.
