This page is just news, about the page, a little bit about X-Japan, and about me [the webmistress]. Sign the guestbook. news: December 10th I just learned recently that Toshi (ex-vocalist of the now disbanded X-Japan, and president of a cult), along with Masaya (the head cult Guru), were accused and charged with child abuse and molestation. Wow. :( It's almost hide's birthday! 3 more days! :D I can't wait. :) I'm going to make cookies. o_o Sugar cookies. And dye them pink. XP Hehe. x-japan: This is the band that hide belonged to; the one that brought him fame. I found it unfair if you weren't subjected to their magnificence so I'm going to share with you a few of my favorite songs. X-Japan is my all-time favorite band ever. Yoshiki and hide make it awesome, and in the earlier songs, Taiji's bass skills made the songs even cooler. He left after their third album, Jealousy and was replaced with Heath, which led to them changing the name of the band from X to X-Japan (which was also because of them wanting to go international, to America, and there was already a band named X there). So, here are some songs as well as the band member line-up and a brief history: line-up Toshi - Vocalist Yoshiki - Drummer, Pianist, Lyricist, Composer, Leader of Band, Producer hide - Lead guitarist Taiji - First Bassist Heath - Second Bassist Pata - Rhythm guitarist The band was formed in 1980, originally. In 1987, I think it was, Yoshiki found members that had what it took to make the legendary band, X-Japan, what it was. They released three albums: Vanishing Vision, Blue Blood, and Jealousy before Taiji gave his place to Heath (Yoshiki and Taiji got in an argument about where the band was headed musically, and I believe Yoshiki broke his arm). In 1997 (a year before hide's death and 2 years after he started his solo career), X-Japan announced their breaking up, which was caused by Deyama Toshimitsu's (Toshi) leaving the band. Toshi joined a cult, and in I believe May 2004, was accused and charged of child abuse and molestation. hide died in 1998, and Yoshiki was devastated. He gave up drumming, and left the music scene for a bit, concentrating instead on managing new bands and his record company, Extasy Records (both L.A. based and Japan based). He returned with a solo career (Violet UK) and is currently in the band globe as the keyboardist. Pata and Heath teamed up, forming a band called Dope HEADz; and Pata found a second home in the band Ra:IN, a pretty much instrumental band (trio). Songs: (these are for evaluation purposes only; make sure you delete these after 24 hours. I'm not responsible for what may happen if you don't. Support the artists and buy the CDs) Kurenai Name: Kurenai Artist: X-Japan Length: 6:18 Size: 5.8MB Comments: This is my favorite song, and also the first song I heard by X-Japan. hide and Pata are brilliant in this. Silent Jealousy Name: Silent Jealousy Artist: X-Japan Length: 7:17 Size: 6.7MB Comments: This is one of the most brilliant songs by X-Japan. Yoshiki's piano playing coupled with his insane drumming make it a must. It's amazing. Tears Name: Tears Artist: X-Japan Length: 10:30 Size: 9.6MB Comments: Yoshiki wrote this song about his late father, and it's beautiful. Toshi's singing is beautiful. He sings "Dry your tears with love" and it made me cry the first time I heard it. Absolutely beautiful, and hide's guitar playing in this is beautiful. Crucify my Love Name: Crucify my Love Artist: X-Japan Length: 4:35 Size: 4.2MB Comments: This is a beautiful song. It's a piano ballad, so there's no guitar or drums in this. Toshi's voice is beautiful in this, too, and I love Yoshiki's piano solo. It's such a beautiful song, and so is the PV. Weekend Name: Weekend Artist: X-Japan Length: 5:44 Size: 5.3MB Comments: This is another pretty song. I love the drumming, it's awesome, and the guitar. It's nothing short of amazing, just like every X-Japan song. Toshi's voice in this is so cool. I love this song. Art of Life [short v.] Name: Art of Life Artist: X-Japan Length: 4:54 Size: 4.5MB Comments: I love this song. It's the short version, so it's only about 5 minutes of the original 29 minute song. The drums, the guitar, Toshi's voice. I love it. :) Forever Love Name: Forever Love Artist: X-Japan Length: 8:39 Size: 3.5MB Comments: This is the song that was played at hide's funeral. I've listened to this over 50 times and each time I cried. It's such a beautiful song and such a sad one, too. It's my favorite and least favorite song, just because of the sadness... "Mou hitori de..." :) Rest in peace, hide. You deserve it. Celebration Name: Celebration Artist: X-Japan Length: 4:51 Size: 4.5MB Comments: This song was written and composed by hide, and you can tell. It's a really happy song. Celeburation! Revorution! I love it. It's a really fun song to bounce around to. So, I hope you enjoy these songs and choose to support the artist and buy the CDs! CDJapan About me [the webmistress]: I'm 14, as of July 2nd 2004. Yay. I adore hide, X-Japan, and Yoshiki. *heartheart* They are amazing and I love them and Yoshiki and hide are my heros. :) I love JRock, it's my obsession (along with hide). Miyavi, Dir en grey, X-Japan, hide, Shiina Ringo... I love too many bands to name. My interests include web design, drawing, writing (I enjoy writing poems, stories [sometimes], and plays [in iambic pentameter. I'm a loser]), watching anime, reading manga... I love Full Metal Alchemist. One day, I will see the subs. I like the manga... Gravitation. Yay. :D A lot of people think that because of that I like pairing up JRockers. But I don't. It's really disrespectful towards them. I have AIM (AOL instant messenger), and my screenname for that is 'Lascivious Idiot', 'Shinya Is Pretty', or 'Die the Nazi Nazi' should anyone want to contact me that way, as well as having e-mail. Um... links to things: my personal site, my livejournal, and my mp3 rotation site. I wrote the letters, they're to hide, and I wrote the memorial, and basically everything on here. I got my information from other sites so if you recognize some sentences it's because I couldn't figure out a way to reword them. ^^;; And, uh, if you hadn't noticed: I'm a girl. I've got two kitties (Pippen and Oatmeal, both female), another pet (my brother), and my mommy. I love my mommy. And my sister, too, she is at college in Chicago (IL). I'm in Wisconsin. It's not as boring as people seem to think. It's actually really cool and there's always festivals going on at the Summerfest Grounds (it (summerfest), is a festival that goes on for like, some time [I'm not sure], and bands play for however long it goes on). It's really awesome. And we have "America's biggest waterpark", Noah's Ark. It rocks. So do I. Oh yeah. RIP hide... May 2nd, 1998. We'll always remember. |
