Akami is a recent idea procured by me. It is a MMORPG design, with ideas seen and unseen. This site is for getting ideas and in general conversing about the game.
While this idea may seem rather outlandish to you, I hope to make it into an actual game someday. My hope is to get it to be developed enough that either myself or a company that will give credit to me can create it for the public. I'm hoping to take a 3D game creation class (and later one that teaches me how to do multiplayer games), but as of yet I have no idea where to find one.
Anyway, I'll be working on this game dream continuously, but I still need feedback from you, the "public." The most important thing is for you to tell your friends about it and post on the forums. It's there for the sole purpose of getting people to A) let their creative sides loose and give some ideas for how to do pretty much anything in the game or B) talk about the game. Any and all questions can be directed to the general forum. Finally, remember, the mini-wiki is there for anyone to look at and edit, hopefully creating a suggestion on the forums.

The game is set in another world in the future and technologically in the past (I'll explain soon enough). There are six races (aguashe, mafide, jaxire, hakare, damete, tarvande). All of them are at the level of technology that they don't have guns or body armor or anything else like that (yet [players can invent that if they want over time]). However, the jaxire are from a more futuristic time frame, but they jumped through a jump portal (which has a large EMP field surrounding it) to an uncharted world (Akami), planning to explore then come back. Instead they got trapped. So, they've been reduced to basic combat until they can find a way to artificially create a jump portal using Akami's resources. Anyway, the point of this game is like that of any other MMORPG, level and get better. Luckily, unlike most MMORPGs, there will (hopefully) be an infinite number of actions you can do, so it'll never get boring. If you want some more details regarding how certain segments of the game will turn out, check the mini-wiki (and sign up for it too so it can become a full wiki). It's not complete yet, but I'll be working on it when I have time.
