Assault Force Recon
NEW UPDATE:
(12-25-07)
As I'm sure many of our visitors and former players have realized, AFR has been disbanded for quite some time now. Most of our members either lost interest or engaged in other activities. I would like to thank anyone for continuing to check in with us over the years for their support. Thanks to everyone who was a part of AFR; whether you were a team member, or just someone we played with. You were what made us a team when we were at our peak.
Sadly, I've lost nearly all contact with all of our members except for a couple of us. We had many great times and games as a team, and I would like to keep in touch with everyone if possible. If any of our team members, whether you were with GAR in the very beginning or AFR to the very end I'd just like to know what's going on with everyone. So, if you happen to stop by the site, please send me an email at gt_ryder13 @ hotmail.com (just take out the spaces there) so if nothing else we can exchange a few words to catch up on things.
Once again, thanks to everyone who was ever a part of the team, I hope to hear from you guys soon.

We're once again looking for new members. Please click the "Requirements" link to the left if interested.
AFR History
Assault Force Recon (AFR) is
the dominating airsoft force of the west-central Georgia area. We were formed
on the basis of Georgia Airsoft Regiment (GAR), which was a recruiting regiment
started by a few local members of the area. We began recruitment on December
1st, 2003. Developing a website, we began to spread the word about our team to
players around Georgia. Plycon's Armory even helped us out in our early days by
placing a link to us on his site. Within just a couple months, we had enough
members to start practices, and within six months, we had enough members to
call ourselves a team.
In early 2004, Assault Force
Recon was created as an official airsoft team. Modeled after U.S. Special
Forces, we had our own rules, requirements, etc. Why Assault Force Recon, may
you ask? Our team is divided into two forces, squads to be more precise, an
Assault force and Recon force. The Assault Squad, responsible for primary fire
and combat, and the Recon Squad responsible as a secondary fire squad and recon
unit. Hence: Assault Force Recon
Assault
Force Recon/Georgia Airsoft Regiment members have participated in:
Operation: Fallen Sparrow
Operation: Southern Comfort
Operation: UN Eviction
Operation: Urgent Harvest
Operation: Urgent Gambit
The members of Assault Force
Recon undergo training sessions at every practice, to further their tactics
into the elite. At our meets, we practice nearly every-possible scenario
imaginable, from patrolling into ambush areas, to pulling escape and evasions
back to rally points to regroup. The meets are held in the hilly woods of
Pleasant Valley, GA, which is a small community outside of Woodland. The field
consists of rolling, rocky hills, flat, thick woods, open, overgrown fields,
and even a woodland CQB area. All of this helps to make our team more
tactically advanced.
In time, Assault Force Recon
will release a team field manual and tactics guide. This will cover everything
from shooting stances, to how to avoid being pinned down, to hiding better in
vegetation. This will allow all members to be able to make joint tactic
decisions, and every member will know how to execute a movement at the command
of an officer or leader.
If you think that you, or your
team would like to become members of Assault Force Recon, first direct your
attention to the Requirements link. If you meet the requirements, you may then
send the required information listed on that page to the e-mail address listed
at the top. We're once again looking for some highly developed and skilled members.
So
now, browse our site and be sure to keep an eye open for the green
"Updated" tabs as these indicate new changes related to our team.
Please visit back regularly with us, and we'll work to our fullest to
bring you an outstanding website, backed by a tactically advanced, and
well-trained airsoft team.
