Next summer will see five long standing charter flights dropped:
- Alicante - this was operated by MyTravel Airways on behalf of Airtours and Thomson
- The Saturday Ibiza flight operated by Air Europa on behalf of Thomson Holidays. A Friday flight still operates
- The Sunday Palma flight operated by ThomsonFly. They will still operate their Thursday flight
- The 2nd Saturday Palma charter flight laterly operated by Spanair. There is still one Saturday Palma flight, along with others on Tuesdays and Thursdays
- The Thomson/First Choice Monday charter flight to Dalaman, operated by a Pegasus B737-800. Three other weekly Dalaman flights remain
But there is some good news:
- There will be two flights to Heraklion (Crete) this summer, both operated by Eurocypria. The existing Tuesday flight will be for Olympic with the new Friday flight for Airtours and Thomas Cook
- The Onur Air flights to Bodrum and Dalaman on behalf of Goldtrail Holidays will operate all summer this year, not just from July onwards
Other key developments:
- Eurocypria will take over Excel Airways Larnaca flight for Airtours, First Choice, Libra and Thomas Cook. It will move from Wednesdays to Saturdays and means Excel Airways will no longer serve Humberside Airport
- First Choice Airways will take over operation of the Tuesday Palma charter flight from Futura. Aircraft is a A321
- They will also downgrade the Thursday Faro flight from a B757 to a A320
- Futura will operate the Gran Canaria flight instead of Iberworld
- Libra Holidays will no longer take seats on the Heraklion flight. They are reducing capacity as part of a restructuring programme
- Thomas Cook will take seats on the existing Gran Canaria, Ibiza and Menorca flight
- ThomsonFly will downgrade their remaioning Thurasday Palma flight from a B757-200 to a B737-300
