Helicopters

CHC Scotia

The main helicopter operator at the airport is CHC Scotia, part of the Canadian Helicopter Corporation. They operate flights to North Sea Oil Rigs, carrying workers. For these flights they use Sikorsky S-76C's and SA.365N-2 Dauphin's. These are based at the airport and maintained in CHC Scotia's own hangar. The flights were previously operated by Bond Helicopters before takeover by CHC Scotia.

All flights operate out of a dedicated helicopter terminal, located next to the main passenger terminal. The terminal also has a dedicated apron and taxiways.

Other Operators

In August 2008, Bristow Helicopters started a new short-term operation at Humberside using a Sikorsky S61N. They use the main terminal and are handled by Eastern Airways.

Also based at Humberside, is the Humberside Police Helicopter (G-HPOL). This moved to the airport in 2005 from RAF Leconfield and has its own purpose built heliport and office facilities next to the helicopter terminal.

Privately owned helicopters may also be seen at the airport from time to time.
