Episode #215: Octillery The Outcast

Scarlet City! Red Rock Isle! They made it!

"That's right, Ash, and you're looking at her!"

Time to register for the preliminaries...while Team Rocket looks on, preparing to swipe some water Pokemon. The line's really long, lots of trainers entering this tournament. Brock goes nutso over Nurse Joy and Misty elbows him aside to register. Ash meekly requests to register too, "if that's okay". ^_^

Ash and Misty are entered, and two wins are required to move on to the finals. Doesn't sound too bad...

Some kid walks up asking if they're in the Whirl Cup...he wants a battle so his Remoraid can evolve for the tournament. It'll be a water-based battlefield, and while Ash wants to battle, Brock tells him to conserve his energy and stuff and Misty accepts the battle instead. She hasn't had time to train with Remoraid, you see...

Corsola vs. Remoraid! Water Gun by Remoraid, but Corsola Mirror Coats is back. Tackle is dodged, but Remoraid uses what looks like a Surf attack(!)...another Water Gun and Remoraid wins! Whoa. Remoraid starts glowing...CH-CHING! Octillery! Now Octillery can battle on land as well as in water, which'll help him...

Ash and Misty and the kid say their goodbyes, and overnight Ash asks Pikachu to cheer him on...Misty says she's rooting for Ash...so she can beat him in the finals. Ash just tells her to watch out for herself for now... ^_^

Preliminary battle, Totodile vs. Seel! Totodile avoids Ice Beam and wins with Water Gun...well, that wasn't too bad.

Now Misty's turn...Poliwhirl vs....Magikarp? ^_^""""" Goodbye, 'Karp.

Now Ash beats Shellder...Misty beats Seaking with Corsola...and that's all she wrote! Ash and Misty high-five... ^_^ But they run across the kid from earlier again, and he had trouble in his own preliminary match...

The kid's got a lot of Remoraids...only the one evolved, though. For whatever reason, the Remoraids don't like Octillery...Marcelus says the others used to treat that Remoraid as its leader, but now they don't like it. In fact, it gets Water Gunned into the side of the tank. @_@ Then the poor thing hides in a jar. It was so upset that it couldn't concentrate on the battle...

Misty has an idea... Ash: "Misty knows a lot about water Pokemon..." And her idea is...Ash in an Octillery costume? @_@ It doesn't work though, he gets Water Gunned... Misty: "Maybe when Octillery spits in your face, it means they like ya..."

Okee, so what's TR up to? Sneaking into Marcelus' house...but Jessie doesn't like Remoraids too much, oddly. Meowth suggests starting a Remoraid fishing booth...

James: "Go Meowth!"
Wobbuffet: "WOBBU! WOBBU!"

They swipe the Remoraids...but Octillery, still hiding in its jar, looks on...

Brock hears something in the other room, so Marcelus goes to check...CUE THE MOTTO! WOBBUFFET! Meowth, that's right!

TR makes a getaway, but Octillery hooks onto the underside of their truck before the traditional Weezing Smokescreen shields their escape.

Octillery left a trail of water puddles so Ash and friends could follow TR, cool...they head to the docks, but Octillery runs interference by attaching itself to Meowth's head. @_@ Octillery cleans house on its own, impressing its old Remoraid friends before breaking them out of their water tank!

James: "It was probably premature to plan my retirement..."
"WOBBU WOBBU!"

Now Ash and friends arrive on the scene...but Meowth grabs Octillery with a crane. Pikachu can't zap TR away or Octillery will get hurt too. Octillery busts free on its own, though, and the Remoraids keep it from falling with Water Guns...Thundershock and Octazooka(!) and TeamRocket'sblastoingoffagaaaaain*ding*...

And check out the Remoraids...they're ALL evolving into Octilleries! O_O

To close out the ep, we check out the cool Water Colosseum...they'll battle there...next time! *falls over*
