L.A.W has moved, here.
December 29, 2004
As some of you might've noticed, the website had been "frozen" for just about one week. It was due to exceeded bandwidth. But soon that problem will be taken care of permanently. Until then, everything is back up and accessible.
Some past information (I couldn't update about earlier):
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, debuted at #1 at the box office in its first weekend taking in over $32 million.
In the movie's second week, it grossed a little over $12 million taking over third place. With Fat Albert in second, and Meet the Fockers in first with just about $44 million.
Liam appeared on The Today Show last Monday. And thanks to Ariel, we will be having a transcription of the interview soon.
Happy Holidays!
December 19, 2004
NOTICE: Tomorrow is the deadline for ALL Liam (birthday oriented) letters. For the package (containing everything everybody has written for Liam) to be received in time, we (Ashley more specifically) will have to ship it within the next few days. You may send all of your comments to the Ashley.
Liam's birthday is January 7th. He will be turning 15.
December 17, 2004.
It has recently been announced that both Emily Browning and Liam have been nominated for Best Young Actress and Best Young Actor for the Broadcast Film Critics Association - Critic's Choice Awards. You can read who their opponents are, here. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events has also been nominated for Best Family Film. :D The award show will air on January 10th (of next year of course), on the WB network.
As you all know, Lemony Snicket opened across the nation today. I have personally seen it, and I am going to have to recommend this fantastic movie to any and everybody. Liam's performance was excellent!
As a lot of you do not know, on Wednesday Liam appeared on U Pick Nick Live. I cannot say too much about it, seeing how I myself missed it...
Thanks Ashley!
December 13, 2004
Today in New York City at the Beekman Theater, Liam attended a special screening of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. There can be found pictures of the appearance in "Appearances," in the gallery. There are also some photographs of Liam at the premiere he attended yesterday in LA, in "Liam Events." Thanks Ashley!
December 12, 2004
Despite Liam's recent tragedy, he managed to attend this afternoon's world premiere of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, in LA, along with the rest of the cast. There are many images of the event on wireimage.com, here. Thanks Lori!
And you might want to watch some of the entertainment shows airing tomorrow night (or whichever time they air in your area, check your local listings). The programs would include E! News Live, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, and The Insider. You'd better have a quick channel-switching hand if you want to catch each show's feature on the premiere. They should each have a fast interview with Liam... Who knows, maybe even details on the fire?
December 10, 2004
On November 22nd (right before the house fire....) Liam was at a Lemony Snicket press conference. There are photos of the event on wireimage.com, here. Thanks Ashley!
And there has recently emerged another Liam fansite. Liam Aiken Source - The Fansite. And that is also in "Links," under "Liam Aiken," with many other Liam fan-website oriented links.
December 8, 2004
On November 23, Liam and his mother, Moya, were in Los Angeles to promote the film with co-star Jim Carrey when a friend called to tell them that their house was in flames. They caught the first flight back to JFK. It will take six months of rebuilding before they can move back in.
Yes, you read correctly. Liam's house caught fire just a little over two weeks ago (pretty odd, considering his role as Klaus and all..)... It is truly a sad story, but luckily the repairs will be made, and his dog, Kes, was not harmed in any way. The entire article can be found here. It gives an interview with Liam, and also his mother. Other than Liam's unfortunate event, the article gives details about a few different topics. (and thanks to Cemmmd from imdb)
And because of this inferno (which the cause of is not known, to the puplic anyway), Liam will not be hosting TeeNick, this upcoming Sunday. Although Emily will still be in her place.
We here at L.A.W. wish the Aikens the best of luck with everything!
December 2, 2004
Liam and Emily Browning will be hosting TeeNick on Sunday, December 12th (same day as US premiere), on Nickelodeon, at 6:00pm (to be sure check your local listings).
AOL has just gotten up 11 (ELEVEN) brand new, just-released-today, icons! So now all you AOL members out there can have an ASOUE icon. :D
Jim Carrey will be on MTV's TRL (cable TV), tomorrow, Dec. 3rd. Check your local listings.
MTV will also be having a 10 minute sneak peek of Lemony Snicket, this Sunday (the 5th), at 10:30pm, 9:30pm central time (check your local listings). Following that will be a Behind the Scenes of LS'ASOUE.
TheMovieBox.net now has 3 (THREE) new featurettes (two in which Liam speaks), and a few new clips from the movie (including the one that was shown on Nick's Saturday night preview).
On Oprah last week, Meryl covers Liam's ears because of something Jim says, you can currently see the clip here. Thanks to Kelsey!
In the issue of Nickelodeon magazine out now (Olaf hologram on cover), there is supposed to be an interview with both Liam and Emily. Also an article on the movie. I will try and see if I can get a copy. If I do, I'll be sure to make a trasncription. ;)
UK premiere news: the "UK CHARITY PREMIERE OF LEMONY SNICKET'S A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS" will take place on Thursday, December 16th, at Leicester (pronounced les-ter) Square. More details here. Thanks Ashley.
November 28, 2004
The trasnscript is up! I've combined the hour long show, Oprah, and the half hour show, Oprah After the Show. At one point in OAtS, Meryl covers Liam's ears because of something Jim says (although I couldn't include that because he didn't speak nor react in such a way). At the end of Oprah, Liam (Jim, Meryl, and the entire audience, too) receives cake (given to Jim at the beginning of the show for becoming a U.S. citizen early last month) while exiting the stage (couldn't exactly include that, either. But that is all of the Liam-related events I did not add).
Ashley has found the date Liam and Emily Browning will be hosting TEENick. It will be airing Sunday, December 12, at 6:00pm.
There is a new picture from when Liam appeared on the Oprah show, in the gallery, under "Screencaps." And there are FOUR (4) new images of when Liam attended the Christmas tree lighting the Wednesday before last, those are under "Liam Events." First is thanks Emma English, and last is thanks to Emily-Browning.org, also Ashley!
November 27, 2004
Last Wednesday, Liam did make an appearance on Oprah. It was a bit unfair that he was given just a few minutes for air-time, but it was made up on Oprah After the Show later that day. I am working on a trasncript at the moment, although it will just be of the parts where Liam speaks.
And, a brand new scene and a behind-the-scenes has recently been released on TheMovieBox.net. The scene is fantastic (the music seems great, composer Thomas Newman), and the featurette is fun to watch. I've put that in Links, under "Trailers," titled, "Full Scene and Featurette."
Be sure to toon in on Nickelodeon tonight at 8:00pm, they are supposed to be having something on Lemony.
November 22, 2004
Last night (11/21/04) at a place called The Griove, Liam attended the third annual Christmas Tree Lighting at 8:00pm in Los Angeles. Ashley has managed to obtain a lovely image of Liam actually at the event. It is in the gallery, under Liam Events (great picture!). The celebration consisted of fireworks, a man-made snowfall, a 110-foot high Christmas tree with over 15,000 lights, and Santa Claus :) You can read more about the occasion here.
November 20, 2004
The Lemony Snicket premiere location has just changed. It was scheduled to take place at Grauman's Chinese theater, but instead it will now be held at Cinerama Dome, Sunday, December 12th, at 1:00pm, in Hollywood. Thanks Ashley!
........And, updated in the ASOUE section of the gallery, are 6 new ASOUE stills.
November 19, 2004
Finally! At last we have a date in which the Snicket-related Oprah show will be airing (supposedly having Liam as a guest :). On Wednesday, November 24th (next week!), Meryl Streep and Jim Carrey will be the featured guests. The episode's description doesn't mention anybody except the two, but it's almost a certain Liam will appear sometime during the full hour. A MUST SEE FOR LEMONY FANS! You can probably expect a clip or two (footage from the film almost definitely), and some candid material by Jim, Meryl, and more (hopefully Aiken). Check your local listings.
And....for the Jim Carrey fans: he will be the main source of Sunday's 60 Minutes (the 21st, tomorrow) at 7:00, on CBS.
November 18, 2004
In the December/January issue of Disney Adventures magazine (which is supposed to be out now), there is an interview with both Liam and Emily Browning.
Anna was kind enough to make a transcript for L.A.W. (.....this website),
Liam Aiken Q: How did it feel to play one of the most unfortunate kids in the universe? Liam: I was very fortunate! I had read the books when I heard they were going to make a movie, so it was pretty cool to get the part.
Q: Do you think you're at all like Klaus? Liam: Sometimes. I guess we're similar in that we both like to be right, but different in that he normally is!
Q: What was the most unfortunate thing that happened while filming? Liam: I did get sick once, but the most unfortunate thing was that the New York Yankees lost the [2003] World Series!
Q: Now that you've worked with dogs (in Good Boy!) and snakes in this movie, which are harder to act with? Liam: They are so different! You can't curl up with a snake, but at the same time you can't hang a dog around your neck. At least I don't think you can.
Emily Browning Q: How are you and Violet alike and not alike? Emily: We both look alike! She also has two younger siblings, and I do as well. As far as being unalike, Violet's good at technology, but I don't have a clue about that. Plus, she knows when to keep her mouth shut, which I haven't learned yet.
Q: What was it like working with Jim Carrey? Emily: Jim [Count Olaf] was awesome. But, it's also difficult because it's so hard not to laugh when doing a scene with him. He doesn't always stick to the script, which is good because he adds so many funny things. It just makes it hard when you don't know what's coming.
Q: Were you scarred in the reptile room? Emily: I didn't have any problems with the snakes, but I did have a problem with this big lizard. The giant turtles scared me as well. They were so big-they could knock me over pretty easily!
Q: Were you able to meet the mysterious author Lemony Snicket? Emily: I got to meet his associate Daniel Handler, who helps him out. And I got to meet Jude Law, who portrays him [Lemony] in the film. But I never got to meet the actual Lemony Snicket, who, I guess, keeps to himself quite a bit.
(and I've added that to Transcripts)
Thank you very much Anna!
Also, TheQuietWorld.com has updated with some pretty cool stuff. The website's somehow found some amazing Behind-the-Scenes images. There is also a couple of neat promos/(whatever you want to call them) it has come up with, here, and here.
A very nice person, Kate, has brought to my attention several new posters you can now buy at Posters.com. The direct link is here. They are great things to hang all over your room :) And thanks Kate!
One more thing (besides the reminder below), Ashley has updated the gallery with a lovely Klaus (Liam) still. That's of course under "ASOUE."
Reminder: Don't forget to send in all of your Liam birthday wishes, comments, etc. to Ashley or Francie (details on the lower part of the home page). We've had quite a few responses so far, why not add yours?
November 12, 2004
There's a pretty neat webpage that has come to my attention. "Getting the Perfect Shot," is an interesting little article about some of the ASOUE filmed-in location. That's also in "Links," under "Other."
And Chud.com has recently posted a review of A Series of Unfortunate Events. It's a pretty good review, the guy seems to like what he's seen so far (just 30 minutes, though). That's in "Links," under "Reviews." You could've guessed Ashley is the one who found it. Thanks!
November 9, 2004
L.A.W. (this website) has recently merged with Liam Aiken Online (webmistress's email address here) on the Liam Birthday Bash project originally started by Ashley.
And about the Unfortunate Events special on Oprah. It will not be airing this week, but I am positive sometime this month. I will update about it whenever I found out the specific date.
Also, last week there was a promo going around NBC about a Lemony Snicket segment on Extra. It did not come on last night, so I'd stay tuned the rest of the week until it shows (check your local listings). I would expect interviews with the cast (that is including Liam), and a small sneak preview.
Apparently, during Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, last Sunday and yesterday, Monday (on the WB presentation), there was a NEW Series of Unfortunate Events trailer that aired. I'm sure it will come up somewhere online sooner or later. But until then, here is what HarryPotter15 commented about it on the IMDb boards:
"I was watching LotR again (on TV) and it came on (the trailer)! But it was sooo new! Ready, I jotted a few things down while doing homework,
>Count Olaf and Violet are talking and Violet says, "Sunny, a little help here?" pr something and sunny bites olaf! >Klaus says (in the reptile room) "Is this a bit odd to you?" or something. >Then there is a scene of Sunny hanging from a table by her teeth. >Then they showed the trio in their house before it was all fired up. Its the part when Violet says, "at times the world can seem blah blah blah..." but only, she didn't say that, it showed the grande stiarcase and reversed threw the fire. It was rather cool! >Then there was a car on a board, floating in the water. >Violet says something like, "Just look further."
That's all I can remember."
Well thank you!
And one more thing.... According to TheSnicketSource.com, amazon.com has put up the release date to the movie's soundtrack, December 7. But still we do not know what music it consists of (the CD).
November 6, 2004
In the gallery is (basically) the autograph X received last week. It is under "Fan Art and Autographs."
November 4, 2004
On the home page, scroll down, "NOTICE."
By Ashley,

We at Liam Aiken Web will be hosting a birthday bash for Liam Aiken’s 15th birthday. In honor of the Celebration, we would like all of the Liam Fans out there to participate. And, to participate, we would like all of his fans to send in their letters, comments, best wishes, encouragements, etc. so that we may give them to Liam.
Tell Liam how much you like him (please refrain from saying only “OMG you're SO HOT.” You can say that, but add something more to it. Bulk it up with your appreciation, preferred), bless him with a good Happy Birthday, give your encouragements for his career or whatever else you can come up with (while your at it, bless him with a good Christmas and New Year if you'd like).
You may send your Responses to Ashley or Francie at our respective e-mail addresses. When we have gathered all of your letters, we will be mailing them all to him as “The LAW Project.” We ask if you could please put "Liam Aiken Birthday Bash" as the title of the email.
- WARNING: We would like to post some of the your entries on the day of Liam’s Birthday, but that is entirely up to you. If you don't want it posted on the site, please say so at the top of your responses (e-mail) – But please don't be afraid to show your Liam Love! :)
- NOTE: Simplicity and Sincerity is the KEY.
- DEADLINE: WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ALL OF YOUR RESPONSES BY DEC. 20, 2004 (THIS WILL BE AFTER THE RELEASE OF LEMONY SNICKET COMES OUT AND WE WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS IN THE MAIL AND HAVE IT RECEIVED BEFORE ALL OF THE “HOOPLA” OF FAN MAIL HE WILL BE GETTING AFTER LEMONY’S RELEASE). The goal is for this to be mailed out the day after the deadline before the Christmas Holidays (which is cutting it close we know) to make sure that Liam gets it the Day-Of or a couple of days before his Birthday.
SITE ACTIVITIES: Now on the day of Liam’s Birthday (JAN. 7, 2004) the site will be holding a B-Day Bash with a possible TagBoard (or maybe just the forum) to speak with each other and celebrate Liam’s 15th B-Day as well as a “Project Well Pulled Off” or “Well Done!”
THANKS!: We hope that you will be able and are willing to participate in this project as we think it will be a lot of fun!
FYI: Also involved with the Liam Birthday Bash is Liam Aiken Web. You can email the webmisstress here.
November 2, 2004
This morning I received an email from (a very reliable source) somebody who would like to be referred to as X, where she lives as well, is marked X.
"A while ago I wrote Liam a letter to his fanmail address. Apparently it is 100% accurate and he does indeed read and answer his mail. What I wrote was an everyday fan letter, with an autograph request, around the time of the Shrek 2 premiere. Just today, in the mail was a signed (authentic) photo of Liam. The headshot is old, he looks about 10 or 11. Along with that, was a really cool, genuine, written-specifically-for-me, note, which at the bottom he signed "Liam." I had apsolutely no idea I'd ever get a response from him, this just proves what an awesome guy he really is.
Oh, the note said,
Dear *X*,
Thank you for your letter. I am sorry it has taken so long to reply, but I was finishing up "A Series of Unfortunate Events," which took eight months to complete. After that I went on a long vacation, so it has taken some time for me to get my mail. I hope all is well with you in *X*.
Sincerely,
Liam Aiken"
The address X used was Liam's official fan mail address,
Liam Aiken c/o Ellen Gilbert Abrams Artist Agency 275 Seventh Ave, 26th Floor New York, NY 10001-USA
Well, you read it. Liam does respond to his letters, or, at least, reads them. By the time A Series of Unfortunate Events hits theaters, there is no telling just how much fan mail he will be receiving, or if he will be able to get to it all.
I will probably have the picture of X's autograph up in the gallery sometime tomorrow.
Oh, and happy voting!
October 29, 2004
ATTENTION: If anybody has gotten ahold of the new Behind the Scenes with Count Olaf book (or any for that matter), and has all of the right materials, would you be so kind as to, perhaps scan some of the photographs so that Ashley could add them to the gallery? Full credit would be given, of course.
October 28, 2004
Below is a list of ASoUE merchandise available today:
Series of Unfortunate Events #1 Multi-Voice CD, A: The Bad Beginning CD (Audio)
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Bad Beginning Movie Tie-in Edition
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Reptile Room Movie Tie-in Edition
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Wide Window Movie Tie-in Edition
A Series of Unfortunate Events Box: The Trouble Begins Movie Tie-in Edition
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Puzzling Puzzles: Bothersome Games Which Will Bother Some People
A Series of Unfortunate Events: Behind the Scenes with Count Olaf
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Ponderous Postcards
A Series of Unfortunate Events: The Pessimistic Posters
As you can see, there is a series of new Unfortunate related items. Most can be found at your local bookstore, or one out of town. The most popular out of all seems to be the "Behind the Scenes" book. With many stills, fun facts about the cast and crew, and tons of extras, I'm not surprised (it was the only one of them all at my near-by bookstore....).
On a different note, USATODAY.com has posted one of the first (worth reading) official interviews with Jim Carrey about the upcoming film. You can read the interview here. It is also in "Links," under "Interviews," titled "USATODAY.com - 'Unfortunate Event's: It's Carrey gone evil."
At this time, on the network Nickelodeon, there are commercials running about the Baudelaire orphans (a.k.a Emily Browning, Liam Aiken, Shelby and Kara Hoffman). They each run at about 60 seconds. All very good segments about the characters, whomever plays them, and the movie itself. To catch them, you'll have to watch sometime between 5:00am to about 6:00 or 7:00pm (of course, I do not mean watch for hours and hours at a time) . They usually air during that time, I've noticed. Each commercial is about an individual cast member (well, them as their role).
Something very exciting has just come to my attention. Ashley's read on Emily-Browing.org, the entire main cast of the movie will be in LA taping an episode of Oprah sometime this week(end). Be sure to keep an eye out for when the episode will be airing somewhere in November (check here for frequent updates).
One last thing, there is are a few really cool pictures of Liam in Los Angeles and one of him in Florida promoting Good Boy! in the gallery, in "Liam Appearances."
October 24, 2004
There is a (fairly enlarged) picture of Liam at the Shrek 2 premiere (which took place May 15, 2004) in the gallery, under "Liam Events."
October 20, 2004
I've put a very nice quote (found by Ashley) in "Quotes," under "Sweet November." You may also find it below,
Reeves also reveals his soft side when he talks about working with a child actor, 11-year-old Liam Aiken, in "Sweet November." "It was really nice," Reeves recalls. "There was this scene that's not in the film now. Charlize and I are in bed sleeping, and he comes into the apartment to show us some toys that he made. And I remember being a kid his age and walking into my mother's room. And I was the guy that that kid saw, and it was just a funny moment. It made me kind of realize that I'm a man, I could be a father. I could be that role."- Keanue Reeves.
Also by Ashley, are several new smilies to the forum :)
October 13, 2004
On the imdb.com, Lemony Snicket A Series of Unfortunate Events, message boards, nicolefan19 discovered the very first movie review! The film is not entirely complete (hence just a few extra touches and some special effects work), but yet Double Deuce (the critic) calls it a masterpiece. The review is an excellent one, "all I can say is wow." I think we can expect an instant classic :) The review can be found here. It is also in "Links," under "Reviews," titled "First ASOUE Review."
And, by Ashley,
There have been updates in the LAW Gallery, in the following sections: ASOUE (3 pictures), Behind the Scenes (1 picture; Good Boy), Fan Art (all pictures), Liam Apperances (2 pictures; Good Boy conference), Liam Movies (6 pictures, Good Boy), Lookalikes (2 comparisons), Misc. & Photo Shoots (all pictures), Press Junkits (all pictures), Screen Caps (all pictures, 44 seconds w/ Liam Aiken).
October 9, 2004
This October issue of Disney Adventures magazine featured a 10 Fact Sneak Peek segment on Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
I was reluctant enough to purchase the magazine and make a trasncript (word by word....).
1. Lemony fans already know there are 11 books in the series (including the brand new The Grim Grotto). But we bet you didn't know that the upcoming movie is based on the first three: The Bad Beginning, The Reptile Room, and The Wide Window.
2. Do you think Liam Aiken, the actor playing Klaus, looks familiar? That's because you might have seen his last movie, Good Boy! (Or at least read our interview with him in the October issue of Disney Adventures. He said he got an Italian greyhound after filming.)
3. Liam took a piece of this (shows photo of eye wallpaper) wallpaper when filming finished. Look closely and you'll see that it's made of thousands of eyes - one of Count Olaf's terrifying trademarks!
4. Besides Count Olaf, Jim Carrey also plays two other characters: Stephano, The Reptile Room, and Cptain Sham, The Wide Window.
5. The Curdled Cave set (from The Wide Window) was Liam's favorite. "You could spend a week exploring it and you'd keep finding things to look at," he said.
6. The baby twins who acted as Sunny were nearly as mischieves as their character, according to Emily Browning, who plays Violet. "I had one of the babies on sitting on my lap inbetween takes. She started playing with the strings on my corset, and when I stood up I couldn't breathe. She had pulled them so tight they were crushing my ribs!"
7. Both Emily and Liam are huge Snicket fans, and they've read all the books. Their favorites? For Emily, it's The Ersatz Elevator, and Liam, The Slippery Slope.
8. To transofrm into the cranky Count, Jim had to sit through nearly 3 hours of make a day!
9. Emily and Liam got along like real siblings. "We fought all the time over stupid stuff. He always thought he was right, and I always thought I was right," she said. "Of course, I was right!"
10. As Violet and Klaus, Emily and Liam wore the same outfit throughout the movie. The kids didn't have to worry about doing the wash, though, they each had over six identical outfits to choose from!
What did we learn about Liam? His favorite book in the series is the 10th, he took a suvenir from the set, he was pleased to be on the Curdled Cave set, and him and Emily fought about stupid things a lot :) I've updated the Facts page with a few of those facts. (also Transcripts with that transcript.)
On a different note.... Another poster has been released! Quite similar to the last, but quite its own, as well. In the mean time, you can see the poster here. Thanks David!
And tons of pictures to be updated with soon.
October 6, 2004
Young Liam Aiken, who plays Basinger's screen son, says a persistent puff adder, one of Africa's most deadly snakes, stalked the hotel where he was staying with his family.
"Two nights in a row, we were awakened by the sound of the snake scratching at our door. We'd alert the night security man, but it would take a couple of hours before a snake wrangler would arrive," says Aiken.
"They're not allowed to kill wildlife where we were filming, so the wrangler would catch the snake and take him outside the hotel compound and release him. He just kept coming back."
Well, now you know, Liam was once stalked by a snake.
And from another article,
"I think Chris did meet with the kid from Stepmom, [LIAM AIKEN] but when you have a relationship with someone, you meet them. He’s a good little actor, and I think Chris wanted to give him a fair shot, but Chris was always going to go English," says Steven Kloves, writer of the Harry Potter films. The entire interview can be found here.
Thanks Ashley for both great articles!
October 5, 2004
Yet ANOTHER trailer has been released this month. You may fine it here, on quicktime.com. That's also in "Links", under the newly added section, "Trailers." It's a superb piece of never before seen (until now) movie material, provided by Ashley, of course.
And sometime this week the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) gave Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events a PG rating (as expected), for brief language, scary moments/situations, and thematic elements.
October 2, 2004
We now have another trailer! It is truly amazing, and it is here. Screencaps are expected, soon to come. You can also find the trailer link in "Links," under "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events," titled "Second Trailer."
And you can thank Ashley for her wonderful researching skills, seeing how she is the one who originally found the trailer. I couldn't thank her enough :)
September 30, 2004
I've made a transcript!
This morning I managed to tape the 42 1/2 second commercial (looks like I was very mistakem about the 20 seconds, yesterday, which I have just changed). The transcipt is in Transcripts currently at the very bottom :)
.........And Liam plays the guitar. Acoustic, it looks like.
September 29, 2004
This morning at about 7:43, a commercial came on the network Nickelodeon, during Jimmy Neutron. The promotion was titled "42 1/2 Seconds with Liam." The segment contained Behind the Scenes (on the set of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events) material, with non other than Liam, of course. 42 1/2 seconds it might've been, but it seemed much longer than just that. And apparently, Liam plays the guitar. It appeared that he was getting lessons in his trailer. Other parts include him doing school, getting 'Klaus' makeup done, and on the actual sound stage. It's hard to believe all of that was crammed into such a short amount of time, but they did managed. Near the end of the commercial, Liam was in character (a short scene from the film I can imagine), he was wearing very thin glasses, they did not have any sides to them, therefor were sitting on his nose, and what he said was, "Never underestimate the power of research." Very true :) And at the very end of this very short broadcast, there was a few "seen before" flashes from the movie.
I will be sure to make a trasncript the next time I see this again.
On a slightly different note, there has been 7 new Unfortunate stills released! At this moment you can see them at thequietworld.com.
September 25, 2004
You can expect to hear Liam's voice when playing Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Event's, the video game, available November 9, 2004. He voices the character Klaus, of course.
In other news, the official Unfortunate Event's poster has been released! Photo here (also in Links under A Series of Unfortunate Events). Along with that, the Unfortunate Events' movie website (unfortunateeventsmovie.com) has been redone and updated. Many stills and eyes to look out for (plus an awesome introduction). The LemonySnicket.com website was just revamped a week or so again, and now, again it has been redone.
One last note, Ashley has added a few more things to The Gallery. There are several great photos of Liam at the ShoWest Paramount Pictures Dinner he attended March 24, 2004 ("Liam Events") in Las Vegas. Also in "Behind the Scenes" there is a lovely picture of Liam with his miniature Italian greyhound, Kes.
September 17, 2004
There are two more lookalikes in the gallery! The first is Logan Lerman (striking resembalnce), from the new WB series Jack & Bobby. The other lookalike is Joseph Fiennes, brother of the Ralph Fiennes, who will be playing Voldemort in the upcoming Harry Potter films.
September 10, 2004
The has Gallery been updated with a few more look alikes. Dylan McDermott being one, and Tom Welling being another.

Ashley's found some pretty interesting websites. They are all in links. The first is an ASoUE website, titled "The Quiet World:: A Lemony Snicket Source," under "A Series of Unfortunate Events." The second is another Lemony website, though in Spanish I believe (it is still an excellent website), it's under "A Series of Unfortunate Events," "___Unfortunate Events (Spanish)___." The third is a Klaus Baudelaire fanlisting. That one is also under "A Series of Unfortunate Events," titled "RAMBUNCTIOUS; RESEARCHER............KLAUS baudelaire fanlisting."
Thanks!

Ashley has updated LAW's Official Gallery with many brand new stills from Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Thank you very much, Ashley!
August 24, 2004
In an issue of Movie Magic (Life Story), Liam explains he was a big fan of the Lemony books even before he was cast as the book-loving Klaus Baudelaire, and was just over-joyed when he got the call. "I was such a big fan of the books, and so were the other kids at my school," Liam says. "Those books are so dark and funny. The stuff in them isn't just fantasy. It's all possible, and that's what makes it so dark."
Also, he construes what big a fan he is of Jim Carrey.
"You think you know what to expect, but you don't. He's amazing. I'm thinking, 'who cares if he's the evil Count Olaf and he's after my money in the movie?' I just couldn't believe I was in the same room with him."
Liam knows he may be in for more Lemony flicks if the first is a huge hit (which is almost definite), and that doesn't bother him at the least. "This movie is going to be the big one," he says with a smile. "I could be doing these for a long time, and that's great with me."
There is quite a bit more. The magazine has a Q&A with Emily Browning (which I might add sometime this or next week), she explains how she had to wear a corset, how there will be Violet dolls, and many more interesting topics.
Somewhere in the "Exploring The World of Lemony Snicket!" segment, it states when the Baudelaires are at the dinner table with Aunt Josaphine, there will be a flashback to when they were at the table with their mother and father (the last supper home, I am assuming).
There were also a few photos in the issue, some of you may have laid eyes on them once or twice before, but there are a few exclusives, too :)
The issue should be displayed until 11/22/04, so there is no need to rush out this very second. The main attraction is Star Wars, it is apparently the "DELUXE COLLECTOR'S EDITION." So the cover will be massed with SW. "Exploring The World of Lemony Snicket!" is near the very end, from pages 90-96.

There has been many new stills (promos/ASoUE) released last week. They are amazing photos. Ashley's added them to the gallery along with a few others. There is also a new section, "Behind the Scenes."
Speaking of sections, I've put in a new one in "Links," titled "Other Actors (associated with Liam)." There you will find links to websites (most official) about some of the actors Liam has worked with in the past.
Quick note: I am terribly sorry for the advertisements which have been appearing on the home page.
August 4, 2004
There is a great new layout to the gallery, done by Ashley, of course. And a few things added, as well.
She's found some awesome websites, too. The first is an interview with Brad Siberling (directer of ASoUE), and that is in "Links," under "A Series of Unfortunate Events," (though some might think it should've been in 'interviews') titled "Adopting A Series of Unfortunate Events." The second is a great Liam interview; he talks about his character, Klaus, in the film, and that if the series decides to go on, he will be happy to continue his role as the middle Baudelaire. That is "Links," under "Interviews," titled "Get your 'Snicket' here - An interview with Liam." And the third is a website which lets you know what date, time, and channel Liam's movies/shows (appearances) air. That is in "Links," under "Other," titled, "Liam Aiken Current Month TV Schedule."
Thanks Ashley!

I haven't updated in a while, so here's a load of news! Nah... actually there's just a few things.
I am happy to say, there are some new pictures of Liam's latest project! At LatinoReview.com, there are several new "never before seen" pictures of (the movie) A Series of Unfortunate Events, due out in theaters December 17. I've added the direct link in "Links," under "Pictures," titled "Latino Review - 8 ASoUE Pictures."
In other news, there has recently been discovered a new website (by Ashley and myself, that is). It is an excellent site. There are things from Liam's audition tape, all the way down to a segment which teaches you how to train your dog tricks. The link is in "Links," under "Other," titled "Casperworld.com - Featuring Good Boy!"
Lastly, there has been tons of rumors and statements about the movie's (ASoUE's) visuals, all good, of course :)
More news to come.
July 10, 2004
A new section has been added to LAW's Official Gallery. "Lookslike," is the title. There you will find people who might look a bit, or a lot, like Liam. :) Thanks Ashley!
There is a new Liam website! "Liam Aiken Online," is what t's called. I've added that to Links under "Liam Aiken." It is really an excellent websites.
More updates soon :)
July 7, 2004
Over the week, Ashley created a LAW (Liam Aiken Web) forum! It is an excellent board ;) I've added that to the front page of this website. The forum has almost 20 categories! You can register for a username (to post) for free. Thanks!
L.A.W. Forum
NOTE: The login acceptance is HIGHLY sensitive. Example: If your username is... LiamFan2004, when logging in, you have to capitalize the characters you did when creating the name. If liamfan2004, it will deny you. Has to be LiamFan2004. The exact way you registered the account.
In other news considering the place you are at now, it has come to my attention that a lot of the facts and rumors in "About Liam," were a bit too personal. I have gotten rid of most of the rumors, and just a little bit, modified the facts.
Lastly, I just noiced the links in Ashley's name were not right. I just fixed that.
July 3, 2004
LAW's Official Gallery has been updated. Ashley added a new section titled, "ASOUE." Meaning, "A Series of Unfortunate Events." There are a few pictures there now, but more are yet to come!
Thanks!
June 30, 2004
Ashley, has found yet another rare website. It has an interview with Liam I found a bit brief, but very enjoyable. I've added that to the 'Links' section, under 'Interviews,' titled, 'Movie Poop Sheet - On Road to Perdition.' Don't let the first part of the name throw you ;) Also, Ashley found a few quick words from Liam on Potter vs. the Baudelaires. I've added that in 'Links' as well, under 'Interviews,' titled, 'A Few Words.' It is the fourth paragraph down.
Thanks!
June 23, 2004
Ashley has been making a Liam Aiken photo album over the past few weeks. I have taken the "Quotes" section and added it in with "About Liam." In it's place is now LAW's Official Gallery. LAW, standing for Liam Aiken Web.
Also, there was a new Unfortunate Events photo found on Emily Browning's website. I added that link (the picture) in, "Links," under, "Pictures," titled, "ASoUE, Promo." That is currently at the very bottom (of Pictures).
It has come to my attention (by Ashley) that there might've been some official buzz about the second Unfortunate film.
Updates about the possible second film should be coming in soon.
June 22, 2004
AFI's tribute to Meryl Streep last night DID NOT provide the much anticipated Unfortunate Events clip. The rumor began from this website.
More updates to come.
June 21, 2004
The American Film Institute awarded Meryl Streep the lifetime achievement award last Thursday at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air TONIGHT on the USA network at 9:00pm (check your local listings to be sure). There is some buzz about one or more (never before seen, exclusive) clips from Unfortunate Events being shown during this event tonight. You might be able to get a glipse of Liam in a new Unfortunate environment.
I will update about tonight soon.
June 12, 2004
Ashley, found another photo website. It features Susan Sarandom, but there are a few ones of Liam. I added that in, "Links," under, "Pictures." And that is titled, "HELLO! Profiles - Liam Aiken."
Yet another picture website! I added it in, "Links," under, "Pictures," titled, "Corbis - Aiken Photos." It has some really good picures of him when he was younger ;)
Lastly, I added a few rumors about Liam's eyes. And have changed (in "About Liam") the information stating his eyes are blue, because they are green (most likely).
June 5, 2004
I added the Official Trailer transcript for those of you who's computers won't allow viewing (for you Unfortunate fans). That is in "Transcripts," titled, "Official Unfortunate Trailer." The link to where you can see it (explained below also) is in Links. Also at the bottom of the transcript I just added.
It has come to my attention that the trailer is running in the pre-show entertainment for some Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban showings.
I added a new rumor. Liam likes popcorn?
June 4, 2004
The official trailer for A Series of Unfortunate Events has been released! It is now running as a trailer in several films (the pre-show entertainment, previews).
The link in which you can see the trailer to is in, "Links," under, "A Series of Unfortunate Events," titled, "Official Trailer."
May 26, 2004
They updated the Official "A Series of Unfortunate Events" Website. There are a few new pictures of Liam, also of the movie itself. They also added a 'fifth' eye to the site, so now I have the URLs to all 5 Unfortunate Events desktops. I added those to, "Links," under "A Series of Unfortunate Events."
May 25, 2004
I added a new section (as you probably noticed). Titled, "Quotes." Currently at the very bottom of 'navigation' (to the left). There are not very many quotes there at the moment, but Ashley and I are looking!
"Prior to casting, British actor Gabriel Thomson and American Liam Aiken were seen as likely choices. " - PARADE Magazine
I had no idea it came that close for Liam winning the part of Harry Potter. Added that quote in "Quotes," under "Other."
I added a new segment, "Reviews," to "Links." There are a few links there, linking to different review pages. Mostly on Rotten Tomatoes where there are literally hundreds of reviews. So that maine page (rottentomatoes) should cover all the reviews (good and bad) you would want to read :) Thanks Ashley for the idea!
May 16, 2004
I updated "Links," with an excellent Liam website. Under, "Liam Aiken," titled, "Liam Aiken Compound." Currently at the very bottom. It has tons of pictures and informarion.
Thank you very much Ashley, for finding it!
May 13, 2004
Ashley, found a couple of screencaps of Good Boy! I added that website to, "Links," under "Pictures," titled "Liam Aiken Vidcaps (Good Boy!)."
Thanks Ashley!
May 12, 2004
Well, I added the rest of that AOL Interview/trailer as a transcipt in "Transcripts." Now you can read everything Cedric the Entertainer and Emily Browning had to say. Thanks Ashley, for the idea!
More updates soon.
May 11, 2004
There is one picture of Liam at the Shrek 2 premiere. The link is in, "Links," under "Pictures," titled "Rex Features - Liam Aiken Pictures." There are also a bunch more of him, at different events :) The Shrek picture should be the very first picture you see there. Thanks Ashley!
Also, there is a website, dailyceleb.com. It has tons of photos of Liam there as well as wireimage, gettyimages, and rexfeatures. I put that in "Links," under "Pictures," titled "Daily Celeb - Liam Photos." Although, for some reason, it doesn't let me link the exact page, so you'll have to type in Liam Aiken in the search box in order to see the pictures.
Lastly, I added the trasncript of most everything Liam said in the AOL interview/trailer. It's in a new section, it's in Transcripts. The very first one there, titled "AOL Interview." If there is any other audio/video of him, I would be happy to make a transcript of it. I might even do the Good Boy! commentary one day.
More upsates soon.
May 10, 2004
There is an interview with Liam, Emily Browning, and Cedric the Entertainer, along with the Unfortunate Events trailer on AOL. I put the link in "Links," under "Interviews," titled "Moviefone - Interview/trailer - Liam, Emily, Cedric." And you can also find it in the A Series of Unfortunate Events section in "Links," titled the same thing.
Also, I found a really cool animation of some of the illustrations from the 1st book (The Bad Beginning). I thought I'd throw that in for some of the Unfortunate Event fans. The link is in "Links," of course, under "A Series of Unfortunate Events," titled "A Series of Unfortunate Events: Fan Site." For the animation, go all the way down to the bottom where there is a kind of book cover, click that and it should work.
More updates to come.
May 9, 2004
It's said that Liam attended the Shrek 2 premiere yesterday (Saturday, the 8th) in Los Angeles, CA with Emily Browning. There is no word on this if it is true or not. I checked wireimage and gettyimages for photos of the event, and there wasn't one of Liam or Emily at the premiere, and they usually always have pictures of everybody who attends things like that.
I added a few more rumors to "About Liam":
11. Has a beach house?
12. IS dating Emily Browning?
13. Attended the Shrek 2 premiere Saturday, May 8?
14. Attended the Shrek 2 preniere with Emily Browning?
May 5, 2004
I updated the "Links" section with a 'pictures' link. Under "Pictures," in "Links," titled "CarreyDEBATTEN - Trailer-pictures (20 pictures) ." There are twnty pictures of Unfortunate Events there.
Bye!
May 3, 2004
I added a couple of new websites to the "Links" section. First, a picture of Liam, Emily Browning and Cedric the Entertainer, under "Pictures." And, an interview with Jim Carrey, he talks a little bit about Unfortunate Events. That's under "Interviews," in "Links." Lastly, I added Emily Browning's website. It has some pictures of Liam, and info on A Series of Unfortunate Events. In "Other."
I want to thank Tony, for making that awesome Liam button for me! Thanks! And PoppyRocks for that Liam, Emily, Cedric picture!
April 30, 2004
"Stepmom" will air Saturday afternoon on TBS. And also Sunday night. Check your local listings.
In the Unfortunate Series TV spot and photos, it always has Klaus wearing one side of his collar tucked in. Just a quick word thought I'd put in, in case anybody would be interested...
I found out they satrted filming Unfortunate Events November 10th, 2003. It was actually scheduled to start being filmed December 1st 2002.
I updated the "Links" section with a new Unfortunate Events link. Under "A Serie sof Unfortunate Events," titled "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events - Greg's Preview - Yahoo! Movies." You might find that it comes in pretty usefull. Also, an interview with Liam I had no idea even existed. It's a very fact-full interview. In the "Links" section, under "Interviews," titled "Jam Movies Artists - Liam Aiken Interview."
April 28, 2004
I updated the "Links" section with a new Series of Unfortunate Events website. Under "A Series of Unfortunate Events," titled "A Series of Unfortunate Events - A website of misery and woe."
I added Liam's fan mail address to "About Liam." Currently at the very bottom of the page.
There are two more rumors:
1. Liam's dad's name was also William?
2. Liam's birth name is really JUST Liam?
April 26, 2004
There's a new rumor, it's said that Liam likes basketball?
I updated the "Links" section with a new 'A Series of Unfortunate Events' website. Currently at the very bottom of "A Series of Unfortunate Events.' It has all sorts of things there. It's really cool. You will find some movie stills on the left side under "Gallery."
Thanks Ashley!
I also added a whole lot more links. I'm actually not so sure myself which ones I added.....
April 23, 2004
Welcome to a Liam Aiken Fan Website! It is a bit unorganized at the moment. I will be putting up tons more links and hopefully I will soon be able to put up most of the Good Boy! commentary done by Liam Aiken, John Hoffman and Molly Shannon.
This website is made up of mostly links. So in the "Links" section there are quite a few. You can find a couple of different versions of his biography under "Biographies," many interviews with him under "Interviews," and so forth.
I ask you all, please, no direct linking (stealing) from my website!
Thanks for visiting!
If anybody has any questions, comments, suggestions, ect. Feel free to Email Me or (my hostee) Ashley . You can find a few pictures of Liam at the Walking Tall premiere at wireimage.com (linked under "Pictures" in the "Links" section).
There are an assortment of pictures (of Liam) at wireimage.com and gettyimages.com (both under "Pictures"). You might want to check those websites out if you want to see a bunch of pictures of him.
I just found out both Liam and Emily Bronwing attended the "In America" premiere together.
