My Grinding Rail
This is a picture of my grinding rail. This model is very simple and cheap to make. But you have to make sure that the wood which the pipe sits on is thick enough to hold the pipe on it and so its a little more sturdy. I had a piece of wood on there before this one which was a lot skinnier. As a result the grinding rail would slide whenever anyone would go on it. But as soon as i put this one on it it made it a lot more sturdier. If you need any directions or help email me at hangman03@hotmail.com. I will help you. But this pipe was 10 ft long. I had some extra room so i thought it would be interesting to have a gap in it somewhere so i sawed the end off and added a gap to it. Ill get a picture on my pictures link as soon as i clear the gap but i dont know when that will be. Its harder than it looks. The pipe is 1.5 inches thick so it has strength. Smart move. Then all you have to do is install the pipe onto the wood and then onto the base. To intall the pipe onto the wood drill 3 holes in the top ONLY. Thats very important. Then it will be easier to find screws. Then screw it into the top of the wood. Then to install the pipe onto the base all you have to do is find two pieces of wood that are the same thickness. I find it easiest to use L brackets to do this. That way they add to the stabilty level and hold longer than just nails. If these directions were confusing feel free to email me. You know the address.
