  • i.e. Believing certain variable's from past events will remain constant in spite of new/future variables.
• To believe without reason
  • i.e. Believing impulsively, or believing based upon personal 'hopes'
  • to trust in what other say with out haveing to second gess them

In either case faith exists in opposition to rationalistic thought. It is any idea, thought, confidence or belief held without regard for present reason or tangible, factual evidence
