Hazel needed to raise around £4000 for her voluntary trip to Kenya, you'll all be glad to know that she's reached her target! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported her, whether it be through a donation or attending the many events she held. She had some rather creative ideas for fundraising activities...
The Fashion Show and the Quiz Night were the most recent fundraising events held.
The fashion show was hosted by M&Co in their shop in Cameron Toll and the models supplied by a top modelling agency
Check out the photos in the gallery.
The quiz night was held in Willowbrae Bowling Club and hosted by Michael Halcrow. The quiz was superb (especially the Disney music round!) and everyone had a great night. Well done to the winning team!
Thank you again to everyone who supported both the nights.
Hazel and family set up a stall at the recent Car Boot Sale in the Big W car park. Despite the threat of rain, it stayed dry most of the day and Hazel raised over £60 for her Africa fund. A big thank you to everyone who donated items!
The ladies from The Sea of Tranquility Complementary Therapies kindly offered to provide a therapy party for Hazel's guests. The evening took place in Hazel's house on the night of Saturday 10th June. Some of the therapies on offer included:
Reiki
Indian Head Massage
Hopi Ear Candles
and Reflexology.
The evening was a great success with everyone enjoying their therapy. Around £170 was raised to add to an already impressive total.
There is one fantastic lot left from the Silent Auction which unfortunately didn't sell on the night.
This lot is for the services of an Associate partner of Cooper Cromar Architects and includes a consultation and concept design process of 3 hours, ideal for reviewing, redesigning and representing an existing house, house extension or new build project.
The three stages are:
1. Initial meeting, with discussion of client requirement and ideas.
2. Concept design sketches by the architect.
3. Presentation of architectural ideas to client.
(The final sketches will be representative only and cannot form a basis for planning application)
Cooper Cromar Architects normally charge £105 per hour, plus VAT and expenses.
If you are interested in this excellent lot, please leave a message, and your email address, on the guestbook.
A Silent Auction was held in St James Church Hall, Portobello on Friday 24th March. All the money raised will go towards the girls' funds for Africa. Some of the lots included
