Review: In the Arms of the Shepherd by Joyce Ann Edmondson I found Joyce Ann Edmondson's new book, In the Arms of the Shepherd, a heartwarming story of the author's life. The glimpses into her life, described to me, the reader, played like a video in my mind. I could actually see her life through my own eyes. I was reading her life story, but I felt I was there witnessing each event in her life. I was looking through the window of her soul as her life unfolded upon the pages within her book. Joyce wrote of a deep-seated search for God, from the very beginning of her life-a search that led her on the path to her Catholic faith. Once her search was complete, she strove to grow in knowledge as her Christian faith increased. She always pulled herself out of each ditch that life threw at her, finding a sudden plateau of happiness, through the grace of God. These times of joy showed Joyce that her Lord God is always there, extending his almighty hand to the child in her-the child who feared the ditch. She used her faith in Christ, conquering her fear and bringing her to the person she is today. I, as a reader, found Joyce Ann Edmondson's book In the Arms of the Shepherd to have a calming effect on me. I, as an author, found the wording of her life story to be almost musical. I would recommend this book to anyone who wanted and needed their lives to be enriched by the written word. Joyce Ann Edmondson's writings will do just that for you.
