An ultimate Kings Cult hero. Dave was the beloved AFC Kings physio, along with being the number 1 fan of the side throughout the early years of the club.
Davidge would often inspire Kings to raise their game to a whole new level with his cries of; ‘Third Division!!’ in which he was referring to what division the side started out in.
Davidge’s bizarre behaviour made him a true legend and his pearls of wisdom were often called upon by ex-manager Tim Wye in times of need.
Lowry can still be spotted within in the Tower Hamlets area, recognisable sporting his trademark bandana, although he has now officially retired from competitive football.
A workaholic defender, Lowry made up for what he lacked in natural talent by working hard and never giving up. Lowry could be called upon to play any role, including that of Linesman and would always give it 100%.
‘Hey hey hey man’ This is the saying that is still fondly remembered by many of the founder members of the Kings squad.
Russel was a true African sensation with the ability to score a great goal. Many wondered if passing was actually illegal in his native Zimbabwe when Russel was on the ball, as this was something he rarely did!
Played for a couple of seasons regularly banging in the goals, before his mysterious disappearance prompted rumours of a breach of work permit regulations.
Founder of the club and ex manager, Wye also fancied himself as a player in the early days before his career was cut short in a football related anal injury against Ryan FC.
Tim loved the club more than anything, famously nearly coming to blows with an ex-employer over his insistence on Wye working a Saturday and missing a game.
Tim proceeded over the club guiding Kings from virtual obscurity to the Ilford and District Premiership, and picking up a host of silverware along the way.
Now managing a new side in Middlesbrough, many speculate that he will one day return in a blaze of glory.
Gary Davidge
An old fashioned English defender, Gary Davidge was never afraid to go in for any tackle. Sometimes likened to Julian Dicks, sometimes likened to a wild coyote, Gary was the Kings club captain until a injury forced him into premature retirement.
