Welcome to The Nexus. This is my online sketchbook and doujinshi site for my running commentary called the Nexus. For those of you unfamiliar with the Nexus, it originally began as a series of Xanga posts in my weblog where I documented life in my high school from my satirical and demented point of view.
However, as the school year grew to a close so too did the drama of High School. Summer, although rife with it's own adventures, doesn't have the qualities that make it as fascinating as the typical life of (IB) high school student in the American public school system. Florida to be exact.
What does a sketchbook have to do with this and what is a doujinshi for that matter?
I'm sure this question is what you're thinking about now and I'll answer that immediatly. You must understand that I really love Anime and Manga. So I taught (and am teaching) myself to draw. Mostly out of boredom over the summer. I also happen to love webcomics like 8-bit theatre and Megatokyo (in fact, that's what sparked this idea). So, I've decided to make the Nexus into a doujinshi or underground comic. This is an experiment, so bear with me as I slog through bad scripts and poor artwork
