Aethenu

Strength, Honor, Pride, The way of the Clans

Welcome Warriors -

This Chapter of Dagorhir is based in Hebron Indiana and began informally in 2001 when two middle school friends discovered some old foam swords and shields in the attic of their garage. Since then the founders of Aethenu have sought to introduce the game called "Dagorhir" to the good folks of Northwest Indiana.

"Dagorhir" is derived from Tolkien's Sindarin Elven language, and translates "Battle Lords." While there are some similarities between Dagorhir and role-playing games, Dagorhir boasts many advantages.

Dagorhir is a sport, not a tabletop game.

Dagorhir is athletically challenging. Its participants learn sportsmanship in an environment that fosters healthy competition and team spirit. You do not have to be an athlete to enjoy Dagorhir. Dagorhir caters to everyone. Dagorhir is an exciting form of exercise that improves coordination and self-confidence.

A battle for supremacy against many foes is a battle of the best kind. There are few considerations, only those concerning where to place the next shot. It is war in its purest form.

Update

Hail Victory

My brothers, my sisters - Much has happened in our lands and lives these recent months. Our fighting is down, but our spirits must remain high. With my new title, my new privilege here as your Khan, I can ask for little more but a chance to better ourselves. Our armories will be filled with new weapons and shields and armor. We shall rise as far as the winds can carry us, and then we shall rise even more. But all this that we wish to accomplish, all this that we will accomplish, can only be made reality if we stick together. When winter breaks, I hope to see all of you back out on the field and ready to show the world who we are.

Lord Khan
