Welcome to Aesir Arabians.
Aesir is a Norse word meaning "of the gods" and is pronounced "eye-zeer". As the Arabian horse is such a regal creature, and we also have an interest in Norse mythology, it seemed like the ideal name for a horse stud.
Inspired by a lifelong passion for the Arabian breed, Aesir Arabians emerged from the dust in early 2004. Situated on forty wooded acres with abundant bird and wildlife, we are a small breeding operation based 20 kilometres inland from the historic town of 1770 and Agnes Water, about half way between Bundaberg and Gladstone, Central Queensland.
We hope to one day breed the type of purebred and derivative Arabians which grace the pages of glossy magazines. These horses would be typey, correct, athletic allrounders who would be equally at home in the show ring, pounding out the miles in endurance, or just being your best friend.
In an attempt to capture - among many other features of various horses we admire - the classic Egyptian refinement, bone of the Polish, and stamina of some classic endurance lines, much time has been spent sourcing some lovely horses for our foundation stock, including progeny of the beautiful champions Joda Aly Dahr, Tristram Apparition and Aladdinns Comet, as well as a couple of kind, athletic Thoroughbred mares for the Anglo Arabian portion of the breeding program.

Our facilities are constantly evolving, with the recent addition of a large, safe steel and rubber serving yard, and we hope to have the new float and hay shed incorporating 2 more large stables with day yards and vet / wash bay completed by the end of 2007

We believe in natural training techniques, coupled with a natural feeding program and herbal supplementation (see "people & links" page for our herb supplier and advisor). This combination we feel is largely instrumental in maintaining sound animals in body and mind.
Please take a look around - find out how we started, what we have to offer, and some of the great people and horses we've met in our journeys who have been so helpful and inspirational .
There are so many people from past and present who have been so inspirational, helpful, supportive. You know who you are, so if you're not here, I apologise, I will eventually have you and your horses all here. This is my little gallery of some of the people (and their awesome horses, of course!) who have helped me stay positive through the trying times, share my joy in the good, and ultimately help make my dream possible.
