SECTION ONE: Name

Is the character named after you (this includes your first, middle, and last names, and any nicknames or online names you use)?
Is the character's name an unusual spelling of a more common name or word?
Does the character have more than one first, middle and last name without reason?
Does the character's name contain needless apostrophes or hyphens?
Is the character's name unusual in another way?
          Is it a name the character chose for him or herself?
          A noun or adjective not normally used for a name?
Does the character have a name you really, really like?
          Is it Shadow, Raven, a gemstone, or any variation of "Angel" or "Demon?" (ex. Seraph, Desdemona... Alternate spellings count.)
Does the character have a name that describes his or her personality? (ex. Tristan means sad, Darcy means dark, etc.)
Does the character have a name highly unusual or unlikely in relation to the his or her race and area of birth?
          Is it an Asian name?
          Is it a Latin name?
Is the character's name/nickname sourced from mythology, video games, books, or anything similar?
Does the character have a "dark" or "dangerous" title or nickname, like "The Death Dealer?"
Did you spend more than a day looking for just the right name?
Did you spend no time at all looking for the right name, because all of the characters have
the same name?
          And it's your name/nickname?

SECTION TWO: Appearance

Does the character appear to be much younger than they really are (This question is obviously not applicable to elves)?
Is the character highly attractive for his or her race without having to work at it?
Is the character highly attractive for his or her race only through his or her concerted effort?
Is the character an elf?
Are there one or more canon characters attracted to the character?
          Even though they are involved with someone else?
          In defiance of sexual orientation?
Does the character have unusual or exceptional eyes for his or her race?
          Do they have something to do with the plot?
          Are they filled with sadness, kindness or any other emotion others can identify immediately?
          Does this emotion conflict/contract with the character's general disposition?
          Do they change colour when the character is feeling profound emotion?
Does the character have a body that is atypical for his or her race and age? (ex., a petite, slender orc or a voluptuous Blood Elf)
          Does it detract from the character's overall attractiveness?
Is the character plain?
          Is this something that has changed or will change over the course of the storyline?
Is the character ugly?
          Is this something that has changed or will change over the course of the storyline?
          Is the character Undead?
Is the character overweight?
          Is this something that has changed or will change over the course of the storyline?
Is the character blind, mute, or both?
          Is this something that has changed or will change over the course of the storyline?
Does the character have really nice or unusual hair?
          Is the character's hair raven black, pure white, gold, or flaming red?
Does the character have notably golden, dusky, or pale skin?
Is the character's voice exceptionally attractive or dulcet? Or maybe it's exceptional in another way?
          Is it the voice of an actress/actor (voice actors count)?
Does the character have a strange scar or marking (such as a tattoo)?
          Does this mark not detract from their beauty at all?
          Does it mark them as "special" in some way?
Is the character old by the standards of his or her race?
          ... Even though he or she doesn't look it?

SECTION THREE: History

Has the character ever known any major lore characters? (ex. Arthas, Thrall, Sylvanas, Maiev, etc.)
          Is the character a close family member of the lore character?
          How about teacher/student?
          Significant other? (Exes count)
Has the character ever been/had...
          Abandoned by caregivers?
          Born or sold into slavery?
          An unusual birth or infancy? (ex. Put in a basket and set afloat)
          The sole survivor of some calamity?
          The victim of physical abuse?
          Sexual abuse?
          Sexual abuse by a caregiver?
          Rape?
          Incest?
          An illegitimate child?
          The parent of an illegitimate child?
          "Permenently" killed, or an equivalent? (Do not check if you are undead )

Is the character the last surviving member of a house/clan/family/practioner of a style of fighting or magic?

          And it took nine months?
Has the character ever been posessed by a demon?
Has the character sworn vengeance?
          Is he or she avenging the death of a close family member/beloved?
          Does the character fail to successfully get revenge?

SECTION FOUR: Miscellaneous Character Goodness

Does the character consider his or her beauty/talent/skill a curse?
Does the character have a twin, a clone, or a very similar sibling of the same gender?
          Who you also play?
Does the character have a very good singing voice?
          Or play an instrument amazingly well?
          Like the harp, the lyre, the dulcimer, or any other antiquated instrument?
Is the character a half-breed?
          Is the character a hybrid of more than two species?
          Is the character a cross-breed of any other type? (ex., multi-ethnic, multi-clan)
          Is the character's heritage highly unlikely/impossible, lore-wise? (ex., the character is half Night-Elf, or his/her parents belonged to warring Troll clans)
Is the character any non-playable race?
          Is the character a Demon, Dragonkin, Naaru, or other mystical/powerful race?
Does the character have skills above and beyond what their class would allow him or her?
          Are these skills things that the character never had to learn?
          Is one of them the power of seduction?
          Or is the character a combination of more than one class?
Does the character just "know things?"
Do animals (particularly fuzzy ones) or children instincively like or respond to the character?
          Is the character a hunter?
Does the character have a perceptible aura of power?
          Of goodness?
          Of evil?
Is the character of above average intelligence for his or her race?
          A bona-fide genius, perhaps?
Has the character ever been the most powerful in a group of his or her peers?
The best fighter/mage?
          The only person to be trained in a style of fighting/magic?
          ... Because he or she was just so talented?
          ... That he or she took on the super-talented master fighter/mage?
          ... Until he or she surpassed them?
Does the character speak a language that they wouldn't normally know? (ex., Demonic, or a human being able to speak Troll?)
Does the chraracter talk about being a hero for defeating central bosses in instance dungeons?
Is the character significantly mentally handicapped? (Generic chaotic-neutral insanity does not count)
Is the character significantly physically handicapped?
Does the character have a dependency or addiction that is or would be very hard to break (e.g. alcoholism, drugs, gambling, sex addiction, a potentially dangerous sexual fetish, etc.)?
          Is the character never able to overcome this vice?
          Is the character a Blood Elf?
Does the character have empathy or telepathy?
Is the character selfish, manipulative, sadistic, or generally lacking empathy for people?
          Does this somehow make the character the character cooler?
          Does the character reform?
Does the character avoid learning from their major mistakes?
Are the character's religious beliefs radically different from yours?
          Does this change?
Do you feel that characters of the appropriate sexual orientation should be drawn to the character?
          Does it bug you when they aren't?
          Do you feel others should be attracted to the character in defiance of sexual orientation?
Does the character get publicly married at any point?
Does the character's bio indicate how others should feel about the character, in any way?

SECTION FIVE: Storyline

Does the character manage to develop a relationship with an otherwise villanous character, and through this relationship, reform the other character?
          Does the villain became evil again after losing the character, but retain some last vestige of goodness, evidenced by one selfless action prior to the end of the plotline?
Is the character transformed into god/demigod/demon/otherwise magical being?
          Is the character happier in his or her new form?
Does the character save the day, or another character's life?
          Through magical intervention?
          Through dying?
          Through almost dying?
Is the character very well known?
Is the character a member of a resistance movement?
          The leader?
Does the character ever commit a serious crime?
          Is the character sent to prison for it?
Does the character die in his or her beloved's arms?
Does the character's beloved die in his or her arms?

SECTION SIX: Race-Specific Questions

If the character is an Undead...
          Is the character perfectly preserved?
                   Is there a reason?
          Is the character rotting, monstrous and ugly?
          Does the character ever become human through the course of your storyline?
          Does the character still use his or her real name?
          Does the character practice cannibalism without any guilt?
          Is the character repulsed by cannibalism?
          Was the character a paladin in life?

If the character is an Orc...
          Is the character a Frostwolf?
          How about Blackrock?
          Was the character ever in an internment camp?

If the character is a Tauren...
          Is the character a Grimtotem?

If the character is a Troll...
          Is the character from a Troll clan other than the Darkspear? (ex. Frostmane, Witherbark, Bloodscalp, etc.)
          Does the character have a special connection to the Loa or to Hakkar?
          Is the character a Witch Doctor or Shadow Hunter and privvy to all kinds of new powers?
          ... Even though his or her class would suggest otherwise?
          Does the character practice cannibalism without any guilt?
          Is the character repulsed by cannibalism?

If the character is a Blood Elf...
          Is the character from a noble house?
          Does he or she lead a noble house?
          Does the character have a fairly easy time with his or her arcane magic addiction?
          Is the character a peasant?
          Does the character smirk a lot, or is he or she generally stuck up?
          Does the character have some connection to the Highbourne?

If the character is a Human...
          Is the character a member of SI:7 or the Defias Brotherhood?
          Is the character especially connected to the Light?
          ... Even though he or she isn't a paladin or priest?

If the character is a Night Elf...
          Is the character especially connected to Elune?
          Has the character done things that would defy the laws and limitations of Night Elf society? (ex. Leaving Kalimdor before anyone was allowed, becoming a druid as a female or a priest as a male)
          Is the character a demon hunter or warden?
          Can the character magically turn into a Troll or Blood Elf?

If the character is a Dwarf...
          Is the character connected to the Earthen or the Titans?
          Is the character a Dark Iron?

If the character is a Gnome...
          Is the character less intelligent than the average Gnome?
          Did the character lose most of the important people in his or her life in the Gnomeregan disaster?

If the character is a Draenei...
          Is the character related to any Eredar?
          If the character is a shaman, did he or she "heed the call" before the first Broken shaman?
          Has the character forgiven the Orcs?

SECTION SEVEN: Classes

If the character is a Priest...
          Has the character ever been strictly a shadow priest, staying in shadowform and avoiding holy spells?
          Is the character an avatar of something or another?
          Is the character too saintly for words?

If the character is a Warlock...
          Does the character have a bond with any of his or her demons?
          Does the character especially have a bond with his or her succubus?
          Does the character speak Demonic?
          Has the character ever been hunted for being a Warlock?
          Does the character participate in demonic ritual outside of what is required for being a warlock? (ex. Drinking blood just for fun!)

If the character is a Mage...
          Was the character ever a part of the Kirin Tor?
          Is the character an frost mage with "icy" characteristics? (ex. frosty breath, "cool" aura and temperature, paler skin, etc.)
          Is the character a fire mage with "fiery" characteristics? (ex. heightened temperature, pyromania, "warm" aura, etc.)

If the character is a Rogue...
          Does the character always wear black?
                   Is it Defias armor?
          Are the character's footsteps entirely silent?
          Does the character always wear a mask, which really only enhances his or her attractiveness? (ex., Brings out the eyes?)
          Could the character be described as "dark and mysterious?"

If the character is a Druid...
          Can the character shapeshift into an unusual form?
          Do the character's shapeshift forms look special, somehow?
          Is the character a druid of the fang or the talon?

If the character is a Shaman...
          Can the character communicate whensoever they want with the elements?
          Has he or she always been able to?
          Is the character an avatar of any of the elements?

If the character is a Hunter...
          Can the character fully understand his or her pets/be fully understood by the pet?
          Does the character have an unusual or "special" pet? (Unatainable by game standards)
          Does the character have a special connection with all animals?
          Is the character a better shot than Annie Oakley?

If the character is a Warrior...
          Is the character significantly stronger than average?
          Does the character have a prestigious military history with the Horde/Alliance?

If the character is a Paladin...
          Is the character a fallen paladin or a death knight?
          Is the character just generally an evil paladin?
          Is the character forgiving of the undead?
          Is the character too saintly for words?

Negatives - 0 - The Anti-Sue - You've probably gone out of your way to de-Sue your characters. Someone likes to go against the grain... why are you here, again?

1 - 10 - The Non-Sue - You've dodged all the annoying cliches and made it to the coveted rank of Non-Sue. Congratulations! Your character is likely original and well-balanced.

11 - 20 - The Borderline Sue - You're doing pretty well, but it might be advantageous to go back and check some things. If you don't mind cliches and think you can pull off the character, more power to you.

21 - 30 - The Mary-Sue - Whoops. Your character seems to need a little work. Your character is likely a bit unbelievable and maybe even annoying, but he or she is certainly not beyond repair. Don't give up!

31 - 40 - The Uber-Sue - Apparently, you weren't watching for cliches when you made your character. You've got a lot of work to do to make your character a little more realistic and a little less... well. Annoying. Do your best, though, and maybe your character will still be salvagable.
