Megas Tsonos (IPMS hellas) built this masterpiece using plans provided by the Hendon RAF Museum, as well as those found in Windsock Datafile #82, and Scale Models magazine December 1977. The model is painted in the colors of N4291 as flown during May 1918 from Killingholme. On May 10, 1918 piloted by Capt. T.C. Pattinson and crew, this aircraft was credited with an epic attack on Zeppelin L.56 which was downed some 70 miles off Heligoland in an operation that lasted more than seven hours...

This model won Silver in its category (#28 - WW1 Aircraft - 1/71 and larger), the Jim Howard Trophy, and the Cross & Cockade 1/48th Award at Scale Model World 2007. See also The Supermarine Southampton by the same buider at Scale Model World 2006.
