This masterpiece by Megas Tsonos from IPMS Hellas won the "Best of Show" award at the Scale Modelworld 2006 event, Telford - UK. The pictures are from there at the competition tables.

The 1/48 scratchbuilt model is based on plans by Ian Stair. Hull interior is extensively detailed as well as both powerplants, the engines themselves being scratchbuilt as there is no Napier Lion available on the market. It is finished in the standard appearance of a wooden built Southampton I serialled S1042 and serving with 480 Coastal Reconnaissance Flight, Calshot - 1926.
