The Legacy Challenge

LINK: Legacy Challenge

(Core Game, University Expansion Pack, Nightlife Expansion Pack)

Start with a single founder and an empty 5x5 lot. Then take your family through to 10 Generations. Choose your mates and paths carefully to grow your family and become the movers and shakers of their neighborhood.

The Extreme Legacy Challenge

LINK: Extreme Legacy Challenge

Requires the Nightlife Expansion Pack

Same as the Legacy Challenge, except that you must start your founder on an empty 6x5 lot and you are not allowed to move anyone in for the first week. Worth more points than a basic Legacy start.

The Ugly Maid Challenge

LINK: Cleve Garth

This is not technically another challenge. It is the Legacy (or Extreme Legacy) challenge. The difference is, you start with the founder linked above and go from there. The premise of this challenge is to either (A) keep Cleve’s genes alive as long as possible or (B) breed his genes out as quickly as possible. And take your family to 10 Generations.

The Prosperity Challenge

LINK: Prosperity Challenge

Create a well-run, prosperous neighborhood through 5 Generations. Start with an unpopulated neighborhood and allow the dice to dictate how many families you create as well as how many individuals, the ages and the genders are in each family. Play each family an equal amount of time in a set rotation.

(The Yahoo! Group related to this challenge can be found here: Prosperity Yahoo! Group)

The Prosperity Fellowship Challenge

LINK: Prosperity Fellowship Neighborhood

This is the same as above, except you start with a specific neighborhood, created and populated by other Prosperity players. Everyone starts with these same 11 families and ads a couple of their own into the mix.

Fellowship II LINK: Fellowship II

There is a second Fellowship neighborhood grouping being developed, where a die roll dictates which grouping of families you download and then which family from that group.

The Royal Kingdom Challenge

LINK: Royal Kingdom Challenge

Do your Sims have a longing for days gone by? Do they want to shout ‘Huzzah! Long Live the King and Queen!’ Do they have a hankering for good old-fashioned servitude? Then it is you duty to transport them back in time several hundred years to live in Good Old Simland! Simland has a King and or Queen that presides over all of their loyal subjects. It’s up to you to make the strongest Royal family that you can. The fate of the Kingdom depends of you! The Goal: The point of this challenge is to make a themed neighborhood with a royal family, nobility, merchants, and peasants/farmers and reach 5 generations with at least one family from each category.

The I'm Surrounded By Idiots Challenge

Also known as: ISBI Challenge or Torchbearer Challenge

LINK: ISBI Challenge

Start with a single founder. That is the only Sim you are allowed to control at all, until that Sim is ready to pass on the torch to the heir for the next generation. At that point, the next generation Sim is the only one you’re allowed to control and your founder is left to fend for himself/herself, seeing how it is to live without someone controlling things for them.

The Black Widow Challenge

LINK: Black Widow Challenge

Create a female Romance aspiration founder. Have her and a townie or NPC fall in love and move this lover into her home. Then, have your founder fall in love with another townie or NPC. GET CAUGHT CHEATING! Then, have the Black Widow kill off her first lover and move the second lover into her home. Rinse and repeat, until you have either 10 graves (i.e. “win”) or your founder is frightened to death by a ghost (i.e. “lose”).

The Starving Artist Challenge

LINK: Starving Artist Challenge

Move your teen founder and their parent onto a 3x2 (or 2x3) lot and kill off the adult. Then, watch your Sim struggle through life without a job. EVER. The Artist is only allowed to earn money from painting and writing novels. Have a family, without moving another adult Sim in (female Sim invites a male over, male Sim gets abducted or either gender adopts a child). Raise the kids and teach them the joys of being a starving artist. This challenge ends when either your Generation 10 Artist dies, your last remaining Artist dies, you give in and have them get married, or you go broke and have to sell your easel and computer.

The Asylum Challenge

LINK: Asylum Challenge

You have been committed to a run down mental health facility against your will. In order to prove that you are fit to rejoin society and earn your freedom, you must achieve the goal your psychiatrist has set for you – your lifetime want.  The catch? You need to achieve your goal as quickly as possible, while keeping 7 other patients, who you don't know and are out of your control, alive and as happy as possible. Add to that budget cutbacks leading to a lack of decent furniture and limited supplies, and your task gets harder.

The All Alone Challenge

Requires the Open For Business (OFB) Expansion Pack

LINK: All Alone Challenge

Ever wondered what your Sims do while you’re away? Time to find out!  You've gone to work and so has your Sim but you forgot to turn your game off. And what's worse, you had put it on fast forward. How will your Sim fair at work with their life on fast forward without you??
