Wow..it's been a long while. *blink blink* I can explain. Again, I was having thoughts about closing down the website. But I'm serious this time. I have a problem with my Image hosting site and apparently my website is NOTHING without pictures. Well, before all my pictures disappear..I'll still use this website. Now, the updates. I have a lot to say. I bought the Variations album already!! Yeay! It's really nice. *sigh* He just never ceases to amaze me. Oh and if you buy the CD[in Malaysia], you'll get this coupon to redeem 2 tickets to go to Maksim's showcase on 4th December at Genting Highlands. Note that you have a CHANCE to get 2 tickets. To actually get them you have to go somewhere or you can call the hotline. ^^; Sorry I don't really remember since I gave my coupon away. Why keep it if I can't go to the showcase? Anyway, you get to redeem only 1 ticket if you buy the cassette[or however you spell that].

Maksim's also going to be at KLIA[Kuala Lumpur International Airport] at around 3pm on the 3rd of December!! Go go go!! Greet him at the airport! Of course, I heard this news from Sara. EMI wants at least 50 people to greet Maksim at the airport. So PLEASE go and meet him! *sigh* I can't. ^^; Sad isn't it?

There will also be an autograph session on the same day at Tower Records, KLCC! The autograph session will start at around 7pm. So here's your chance to meet Maksim! If you can't make it to the airport, then meet him at KLCC! Or vise versa. I can't go to both and I'd rather not miss his autograph session[again..] Though it would be better if I could go to both. I really really want to, but I doubt anyone is nice enough to drive me around KL.

So please, if you love Maksim, if you want to meet him..try and make it to both airport and the autograph session. I'll keep you updated.

I just want to say that I've got good news for Maksim fans in Malaysia~ I found out from Sara that Maksim's album, "Variations Part I & II" is out in Malaysia!![finally!] Sara said there was a problem and they solved it last week. So now people in Malaysia[and myself of course] can purchase his album after what felt like an eternity[to me]. I will go out and get the album ASAP. The sooner the better. ^^

Hey..let me tell you a story. A very SAD story. I've been going to music stores. A LOT of music stores. Constantly CALLING different music stores around Malaysia.[actually just KL but I lurve to exaggerate] And I'll ask them the same thing. "Hi, is Maksim's new album out yet?" and they'll say "what's the title?" and I'll reply "Variations" and I get my hopes up...until the person in charge replies "Nope, it's not out yet." And after my hopes are dashed, I smile sadly and say "Oh, thanks anyway for your help." I've been doing this a lot. Seriously. Just yesterday, I finally went to the mall. I went to 4 music stores which are VERY far away from each other. I'm going crazy. I NEED the album. ARgh! Well, I'm glad that PMR is finally over. I can finally focus on reading all my books, updating the website, and continue with some projects that I've been working on! Anyway, I heard that it is confirmed Maksim is coming to Malaysia [Genting Highlands] for a promo tour. *sigh* It was in the newspaper and people who went to Genting Highlands said that there are flyers of him EVERYWHERE there. *rolls eyes* Why put ALL the flyers in GENTING? I mean there should be flyers EVERYWHERE, not just Genting. Why? Because people only go to Genting for a HOLIDAY!! Anyway forget it. I'm just annoyed because Maksim is coming on the 4th of December and THAT's the day I'll be going to Cairo! ^^; It's a pity but oh well. Oooh! I also found an article on Maksim in the newspaper on the 1st of October. I scanned it already. Here's the link!

Hi! Well as you know, Maksim's new album "Variations" is supposed to be out yesterday. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't go to any music stores[especially since my exams are coming!] Well anyway, I'm partly hoping it's out while the other half of me is hoping that it isn't. Why? Well I've always wanted to get a CD on the first day it's released. Ahahha..well I think I'm going to a music store this evening. Even if it's out though, I highly doubt it'll be there since it's kind of slow. I mean seriously..I'm just annoyed that there isn't a Tower Records nearby. The nearest one is about 5km away BUT I'd have to go through a crazy traffic jam so there is no way my parents are going to let me go all the way there to get a CD. *sigh* I've got other news.. You know when I said Maksim's coming to Genting Highlands to perform? Well I'm not sure about that now. I mean since he's in Japan right now, promoting his new album..I think he's going to come to Malaysia and promote his new album at Genting! Darn, I want to go to the promo because there's a higher possibility of actually meeting him! Oh well, I guess even if he comes after PMR, I still won't be sure if I can go anyway. Hi! It's been a while since I last stated any news about Maksim huh? Well I found a few facts about Maksim and I'll finally update the "Interesting Facts" Section! Anyway..I've got good news! Maksim's album, "Variations" will be out on the coming 27th September! Yeay! ^__^ Wonderful news isn't it? Oh and I heard from a friend of mine that Maksim will come to Malaysia again to perform, but sadly she said he's going to perform at GENTING HIGHLANDS! I really hope he'll perform in KL again..or he'll perform in more than one place in Malaysia. I actually said to myself that I'll try my BEST BEST BEST to go to every Maksim performance in Malaysia..and that I don't mind not going to any other concerts by any other artistes/bands.. @_@ I really hope Maksim won't perform at Genting..I mean first of, it's rather high up..and rather far from KL.. and my dad won't let me just go to his concert and then come back home since his concert will probably be held at night..and my dad doesn't think it's safe to drive back at night from Genting at night... I think I'm going to freak if it's in Genting..but the thing is, my friend said that her friend saw his concert advertisment!! And well only the concert date isn't confirmed.. *sigh* I really hope he'll come down to KL.. @_@ Well that's all the news I've got on Maksim.. oh wait! Did I mention that the Maksim MSN group that I joined actually entered the newspaper in CROATIA!? I'm shocked as well! It's so cool! Heh well..I have to go now..seeya around!

Hi!! Okay I have to calm down!! Aaaaah!! I've got crazy news!! This is the kind of news that EVERYONE'S dying to hear!!! I tell you this is crazily, good -no cut that, make that GREAT news!! I'm so excited!! I read that Maksim's new album will be out this year!!!! OMG! I told you it's great news!! Ahaha..It's called Variation[s]! I can't wait for it! In Taiwan, it'll be out around 1st October! I don't know about Malaysia..but I went to the EMI Classics website and I read that it'll be out this autumn! Autumn will begin around I'm assuming end of September or early October! The catch is that EMI Classics didn't state where it'll be released, so there's a possibility that the album will be out on the same day, worldwide!! I'm so very excited! Ahahah..I can't even type properly right now! I'm definitely buying it when it's out and I'm going to buy the special edition one when it's out! ^__^ Hurrah~~ I can't wait! Just about 2 months till the album! Oh by the way, Harmony is finally out in Malaysia! I waited a long time for the Classical Olympics album to be out! Man I'm going to be broke soon! Guess what? Maksim didn't show up at the Olympic Opening Ceremony. Yes everyone, I spent 4 hours waiting for Maksim in the middle of the night. Ahahah..I waited from 1.25am till 5.15am for him. But, he wasn't there. Kill me if you want for giving out the wrong information but it's not really my fault. I swear I read somewhere that he was going to be at the olympics. He didn't say he was going to be there at the OPENING CEREMONY. Well yesterday I found out that Maksim performed on the eve of the opening ceremony. Okay here's the thing, even if I knew this, I or anyone else won't be able to watch him anyway because it wasn't broadcasted. *sigh* Oh well..let's just hope he'll be at the closing ceremony! Anyway, the good news is..*grins* I SAW THE OLYMPIC DREAM VIDEO!!!! You know what's even better? I saw it on MTV!! I TRIED to watch it online but the thing wouldn't let me..and yesterday around 7 something I saw it on tv!! Argghh! He looks so good! I lurve the song!! Oh and I like the room he was in.. It looks so... simple and yet classy! ^^ If you want to watch the video, then you better tune in to MTV and other music channels more often this week. I'm sure they'll show it everyday!

18/07/04 Maksim Mrvica ends his world tour in Dubrovnik's Quarry 

Maksim Mrvica, world pianist crossover sensation, finished his world tour last night right here in Dubac quarry in Dubrovnik. Almost two thousand people gave him a ten minute applause after the excellent concert, and Mrvica promised to come back to Dubrovnik already next summer.

Moreover, before the beginning of his concert. This native Šibenik pianist managed to open the exhibition which is a project in cooperation with 44th International Children's Festival in Šibenik. 

Mrvica came to Sponza Palace Atrium just before the beginning of the sound rehearsal, and was met by his numerous devotees who passionately wanted his autographe.

During the exhibition opening ceremony, Mrvica expressed a great gratitude to the International Children's Festival Šibenik because it is within its programme that he held his first concerts... He actually performed at ICF even three times, while the last night's concert was the first at Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and the fourth in Dubrovnik in general. However, after the great reception of Dubrovnik's audience, we are sure it is not the last. 

28 year old Croatian pianist and EMI Classics artist Maksim Mrvica has sold more records with his debut release, The Piano Player in Hong Kong and Taiwan than many popular Canto - Pop, Mandarin and big name international artists.

In fact so far The Piano Player has gone gold in Singapore, Malaysia and The People's Republic of China, platinum in Taiwan and Croatia, double platinum in Hong Kong.

Through his many appearances in TV programmes, shopping malls and radio interviews, Maksim topped the HMV International charts in Hong Kong for 12 solid weeks last year, outselling many releases by top Canto - pop artists. And following a performance in the territory on Christmas Eve, the album jumped back to number one, displacing Dido from the top spot in the process.

Music video of Olympics' official song to be shot in Romania

BUCHAREST, Romania -- The Athens Olympics have struck a chord in Romania, where filming begins later this week on a music video for the games' official song, Olympic Dream. Filming will begin Thursday in Bucharest at unspecified locations, featuring Croat pianist Maksim Mrvica and Serbian singer Iva Cojic, Bogdan Enache of the Romanian subsidiary of EMI Classics and Jazz said Monday. No further details were available about the video. Enache said it was EMI's decision to shoot in Romania, but did not say why. After communism ended in 1989, Romania -- known as the home of the fabled vampire Count Dracula -- was the site of some low-budget Western horror movies. In recent years, higher-profile movies such as Cold Mountain, Callas Forever and Amen have been shot here. Mrvica, 28, is a pianist who gained fame for his modern interpretation performances of classical music. EMI recently launched three official Olympics albums in Athens: a pop album, a Greek traditional music album and a classical music album, Harmony, which includes Olympic Dream. It also includes performances by Sarah Brightman, Maria Callas, Placido Domingo and other singers. Hi.. I saw pictures of Maksim recently. I mean recent pictures of him. The pictures were taken in Croatia while he was performing. The concert was held just DAYS ago. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's real or not but Maksim got a new tattoo! I'm serious~ I mean it wasn't there when I saw him live in KL. I'm just hoping it's not permanent. I love his arms clean~ Eheh..I really hope it's fake..or it's just temporary or something! His arms have always been beautiful! Ahahhaa..I don't care if I sound like a freak! I really really really like it better before he got the tattoo. Aargggh..I'm just exaggerating! [Is that how you spell it?] I should be happy for him..oh man..I think I'm nuts. Lalalala...I'll get over the whole tattoo thing soon, meanwhile..I'll keep hoping it's not real. By the way, I scanned the Maksim article from Music! Magazine April-May issue. I'll put them up soon. You just have to wait.

Hey all~ Ahaha..I just want to say that I am just so so blur! There's something wrong with me! I reread the Maksim article above and I realised that in the article, they stated that Maksim composed Olympic Dream! Arrgghh! I can be just so blur and..so dumb? Hey..Well since my photobucket is down, I don't really have much to update. Anyway, I hope everyone's enjoying the Maksim section..especially the interesting facts part. I'm really running out of facts here. Ahaha..anyway, I think right now Maksim is in Croatia. I'm not sure. When he's done with his performances in Croatia, he'll start working on his new album. I read that somewhere, I can't remember where though. Anyway, Maksim's first performance in Croatia will be on the 22nd June and his last performance will be on the 7th of July. He might already be in Crotia, who knows. I mean afterall, Croatia is a beautiful country. Someday I want to go to Croatia for the holidays. I'm sure it's going to be a blast! Aaaaaaaahhh..Maksim rules!! Ahaha..I just found out that Maksim is going to present his "The Piano Player" album in Croatia and in the album, there's going to be a song he composed himself and also a different version of Olympic Dream!! I LOVE the song Olympic Dream!! I need to hear it again..I want the Croatian version of The Piano Player!! And I want to hear the song Maksim composed! *clears throat* Okay well if I find out anything else about Maksim, I'll keep you all updated. Seeya~

Okay, I don't know how many different versions of "The Piano Player" album is out there, but I do know that I'll be broke if I get ALL of them. Right now I have "The Piano Player" the imported one, The Piano Player Malaysian Edition[the one with the AVCD bonus edition], and I also have Maksim World Premiere Performance DVD. What's in the DVD you ask? Well it was his first time to perform a crossover concert and he performed in Roundhouse, London. ^__^  Oh he played so fabulously. He was amazing! Oh I just have to see him perform live again. And I have to meet him!! Ahahah..Oh yes, Flight Of The Bumble Bee video and Exodus video are alson included in the DVD! You know, I STILL haven't seen the Exodus video on TV..like on MTV or whatever channel.
