January 7, 2006- Finally, had our first homestudy meeting!!
January 11- Jonathan and Rachael fingerprinted, Caroline could not get her fingerprints, her hands were too chapped...
January 18- Second homestudy meeting completed!
January 19- After a week of lotion, Caroline gets fingerprinted!!
January 20- Sent in fingerprints!
January 28- Illinois Fingerprints received back
February 2- FBI Fingerprints cleared
February 6- Sent first program fee into AWAA
February 10- Third Homestudy Meeting!
February 14 - Sent in I600A form!
March 3- I600A Filing Date
March 15- Fourth and Last Visit for Homestudy!!
March 29- Rough-Draft homestudy completed
April 3- Homestudy approved
April 10- Homestudy sent in to the state.
April 21- USCIS Fingerprinting!
April 27- USCIS Fingerprinting rejection for Caroline...hands are too dry again...
May 13- Caroline re-fingerprinted. It worked this time!!
June 6- Caroline's birthday, have since found out that this was the date our I171H was completed! Happy Birthday Caroline!!
June 10- Our I171H finally came!!!!
June 26- Sent Dossier to America World Adoptions! If all is well, we will be DTC Friday!!!
June 30- We are finally DTC(Dossier to China)!!!!!!
July 14- This is our LID (Log In Date)!!
August 10- We got "The Call"!! We have our referral!!
August 11- We received photos and info on our new daughter, Sarah LuHua!
August 18- We sent our LOI (Letter Of Intent) to China! Approximately 3 months until TA (Travel Approval)!!!
October 4- I171H Advance Processing Application Filed at the American Consulate/Embassy at Guangzhou, China. Travel Approval is expected very soon!
October 6- Caroline and Jonathan applied for visas!!
October 13- We now have our visas!
October 16- Went back to the visa office, Applied for our daughter, Anastacia's visa!
October 21- Staci's visa came in the mail.
November 1- Fantastic Baby Shower given by our churches for Sarah!
November 20- We received our TA (Travel Approval) from China!!!
December 5: Leave for China!
December 11: Gotcha Day! (And also Sarah Lu's half b-day, she is exactly 2 1/2 today!)
December 22: We are HOME with Sarah!!!
