The Noarlunga line is one of 5 main lines that services Adelaide's metropolitan area, which heads in a south-western direction from the city centre. About 33km long including Tonsley line, the Noarlunga line is the second longest line but the busiest in Adelaide and has 21 stations, so far I have placed 18 stations already completed in full detail. The line doesn't actually start from the city, instead it branches off the belair bound main south line just after Goodwood (approx 5km south of Adelaide station) and travels through busy surburbia going through stations like Emerson, Edwardstown and Woodlands Park. After Woodlands station the Tonsley line branches off left toward Mitsubishi Motors, passing Mitchell Park, Clovelly Park and terminating at Tonsley station.The Main line then continues through Ascot Park, Marion and all stations to the coast where it then curves left heading south, along seaside suburbs like Hove, Brighton and Seacliff. From Brighton the line starts heading up a grade towards cliffside stations, Marino, Marino Rocks, Hallett Cove & Hallett Cove Beach, (smaller suburb areas now) providing spectacular views of Gulf St. Vincent. The now disused Willunga line branches off to left just before Hallett Cove station. From Hallett Cove Beach, the line travels more inland through empty hilly areas then passes Port Stanvac Oil Refinery on right with small depot yard and line branching to the right into Oil Refinery. Mitsubishi factory is on the left. Lonsdale station immediately follows then down slight grade to busy surburbia again with Christie Downs then into Noarlunga station (right in the heart of shopping complex & Bus Interchanges) where line terminates.
