Welcome Trainz Enthusiasts
|
| This site is to keep all you up to date with the latest progress of the Adelaide to Noarlunga edition of the South Australian Railway Network for Trainz (SARN4T). For those of you who know Adelaide in South Australia, I am modelling the entire South/western railway line section of the metro area, which winds its way through suburbia, hills, cliff top beaches, past an oil refinery and ending at Noarlunga Centre, some 25km away. Version 1.0 of this route is already complete, from Goodwood to Brighton and is now available for download... the full version is currently about 75% complete and will hopefully have a release date of sometime late this year.
SARN4T currently compromises of a few sections of railways, first is the Adelaide station and Depots including North Adelaide, Mile End yards and loco depot as they were up until the late 1980's, Keswick Interstate Terminal, Goodwood and Millswood area including the Noarlunga turnout, and the first half of the Noarlunga line which is all in progress. Future editions to come are the Belair line, extending to Mt Barker and beyond and possibly the Port Adelaide/Outer Harbour lines. For full detailed info and more downloads on SARN4T, please visit Pigeon's website http://www.freewebs.com/trainz-sa . As any Trainz layout builder would understand, it takes alot of time and patience to build detailed routes of this proportion, the completed Railway Network for SA will probably never be finished, as it is an ongoing project. |

| After 20 long months SARN4T Noarlunga line v1.0 -Goodwood to Brighton is finally complete and is now available for download!
This version is obviously not the final full length Noarlunga route, but it is approx half length, beginning where 'Pigeons' Adelaide-Goodwood route ends at Clarence Park, and terminating at Brighton, some 12km later.
Version 1.0 includes the full length Tonsley spur line and Mitsubishi Motors complete with its own rail spur, even with views of the Adelaide Hills!
Other features include drivable roads, 3km of beach with a boat ramp and drivable sea path where you can run a yacht around the coastline, and other recognisable landmarks.
The route from Brighton to Noarlunga is still in progress, and will be complete by the end of this year with full SP2 passenger support.
Download from the Trainz Download station or use the download link provided on the Route Info/Downloads page (Download Helper is required)
Credit must go to Ashleigh 'pigeon' Bennett for creating the Adelaide to Goodwood base layout, which is required for the Noarlunga line v1.0 to merge into, see 'Route Info' for instructions on how to merge, joining up roads track etc.
Adelaide to Goodwood base layout is available at Ashleigh's website http://www.freewebs.com/trainz-sa
Next update will include screenshots of Brighton to Noarlunga area, till then enjoy the route!
