About AdachiFan |
|
|
AdachiFan was founded on Oct. 28th, 2005, by dizzcity, who had been searching long and hard for a proper English Adachi fansite that would showcase all of his works (instead of just one or two). Unable to find such a site, dizzcity decided to make it himself, and thus all of the content on this site (barring that which has been clearly marked as submitted by someone else) has been written or compiled by dizzcity. The site and forums were officially launched on Nov. 19th, 2005.
AdachiFan serves to unite all the English-speaking fans, scanlation teams, fansub teams, and others interested in Adachi's works into one network. So far, they have existed in scattered pockets, usually isolated from each other. Therefore, AdachiFan is here to be the one-stop resource center and headquarters for all Adachi fans everywhere to link to, as well as the central forums in which these scattered fans can come together to talk about his work with similar-minded people. For the moment, AdachiFan is tailored to the English-speaking community, but later on we hope to be able to link to fan communities in other languages as well.
Please note that AdachiFan wants to serve the interests of the mangaka himself, by promoting his work among the international community. It is not the official site of Mitsuru Adachi, nor does it represent him. We do not support illegal copies of works that have already been licensed into English, and we encourage those fans who are interested to support Adachi by buying his products. If official representatives from the media companies invoved or Adachi himself wish to modify or take down this site, please email dizzcity at dizzcity@hotmail.com. Thank you.

Links List:
Scanlation Groups:
MangaDownloads
Probably the most active of the scanlation groups working on Adachi's stuff. Completed the scanlations of Nine, Hiatari Ryoukou, Rough, Idol A, and Anthologies Volume 3. Currently working on Katsu! (under the name of Manga Daisuki) and Cross Game.
Adachi-Universe
Another very productive scanlation group that has scanned many works. Although they stopped for a while, they have recently begun to return to their projects. Completed the scanlation of Jinbe, and currently working on Slow Step, Itsumo Misora, and partnering with Adachi-Manga to do Niji-Iro Togarashi.
Manga Project
A scanlation group that worked on Touch for a long time, but has recently seemed to have moved on to other work, so prompting others to continue the Touch project.
MangaScreener
The scanlation group in charge of working on H2. Rather slow with their releases, but otherwise good quality work.
Mugen-Anime
The scanlation group in charge of working on Miyuki. Has just completed the series as their first manga project.
The Hawks
A scanlation group that worked as partners with Manga Downloads to do the scanlation of Hiatari Ryoukou.
Adachi-Manga
A fairly new group that just recently formed to continue on the scanlation of Touch after Manga Project stalled on it. Currently working on Touch and partnering with Adachi-Universe to do Niji-Iro Togarashi.

Bittorrent Guide |
|
|
1. Obviously, you need the programs. Such programs include Bit Tornado, Azureus, Bit Comet and last but
not least the Bittorrent.
So go download one of those. I am using Bit Tornado so this guide will be
written for that specific program.
2. Go to a site
that uses torrents. An example would be boxtorrent.com. Click the file you want
to download; some site will automatically download it while others will prompt
you to save the torrent file. Likewise, you could use right click and save as
function as well.

3. The next screen will appear (shown below). Choose where you want to save the files and click ok.

4. You will see
screens like those below. Most of the stuff is self explanatory. If you are
halfway downloading and would like to stop and shut down your computer make
sure you press the cancel button. If you just shutdown your computer without
doing that, your computer will have to check your hard drive for files and that
will always lag your computer, especially if you already have gigabytes of
files downloaded. To resume your download, repeat step 2 to 3.

5. If you cant
get the download started (the colour is red or you are connected to one peer
but download speed is zero), well all you can do is post at the sites forum
asking for seeders. This means that there is no one uploading the file. Likewise, if you are behind an apartment wide firewall like me, you will see less seeders and even if you see them you might not be able to get the download started.
6. Once you finish, leave your download window open for as long as you can that is good manner. You can still open and read your manga (or watch your anime) even though the torrent file is running (you cant do this if you are still downloading and it is incomplete)
7. Anyway if you have any problem, go to the help section of the forum and I will reply you. Likewise you can just send me (username is Shockrave) a private message.
