Due to the new structure of the Irene Ryan scholarship auditions this year, please read the following notes and check your preliminary audition time on the posted schedule.

Prelims

1.  The preliminary round of auditions will be held Tuesday, February 26th beginning at Noon.

2.  There will be three opportunities for Ryan nominees to attend a mandatory orientation meeting prior to their auditions.  The first meeting is at 11:00 a.m.  The second is at 3:00 pm and the third is at 6:30 pm. 

3.  Following your orientation, you are free to enjoy all of the festival offerings, but come back 55 minutes before your round begins (to check in and process any last-minute paperwork).  You and your partner must bring your badges to check-in (proof of your festival registration).  Rehearsal space will be provided for you while you await your audition.

4.  Immediately after your round (one round per hour), you will go to LSC Rooms 327 or 319 or 321 for your response (there are three respondents covering each round, so you will be divided evenly among them).  After your response session, you are done for the preliminaries.

5.  By Wednesday morning, the semifinalist list will be posted in the lobby of the University Theatre Center and in the lobby of the La Quinta Hotel and the Comfort Inn and Suites.

A note to preliminary round respondents:  You are currently scheduled to respond to five Irene Ryan nominees for each hour you serve as a respondent.  Please be aware that we may have to schedule some additional students at the last minute.  We ask that you are flexible and willing to pick up an extra Ryan, if we need to add more students to a round in which you are serving as respondent.  Thank you so much for your time and effort.


Semifinals

The semifinal round will be held  in the LSC Theatre on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 9:00 a.m.  32 semifinalists will perform:  16, then an intermission, and then the second 16.  The respondents will collect you after the semifinal round and take you to the response site in the LSC. 

The finalist list and rehearsal schedule will be posted in the lobby of the University Theatre Center and in the lobby of the La Quinta Hotel and the Comfort Inn and Suites.

Finals

The final round will be held on the UTC Mainstage at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2008. Rehearsals for the final round will be held on the UTC Mainstage  from 4:00 p. m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday March 1, 2008.
