KCACTF National Teaching Artist Grants

The Kennedy Center has implemented a new program for Faculty Development Grants, to replace what were previously known as the “National Faculty Fellowships.”

The highlights of this new program are:

*Open application or nomination (started and completed between November 9 and December 7.)
* Up to 7 grants available in ALL areas of theatrical teaching/production.
* Grant amount of $2000, for use for professional development activities determined by the teacher/grantee (subject to approval by the grant review officials.)  Grant recipients will be recognized in a full-page ad in American Theatre magazine.
* At least 2 of the grants are ear-marked for recognition of early career achievement.

The Regional Committee will ALSO submit nominations of potential grant recipients, based on recommendations from respondents and selection team following the December 6th deliberation meetings.

I ENCOURAGE YOU TO REVIEW THE DETAILED INFORMATION, FOUND ON THE NATIONAL WEBSITE, www.kcactf.org, AND TO APPLY FOR THESE PRESTIGIOUS (AND LARGE) GRANTS.  DEADLINE FOR DECLARING INTENT TO APPLY IS NOVEMBER 9.
