Across America for Autism Awareness

We are a family that will travel across America to most major cities and for about 20,000 miles, starting January 2008 from the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. to hand out at least 100,000 educational brochures and raise at least $100,000 for a Foundation dedicated to highlight the achievements of people living with ASD.

We want to rise Autism Awareness by educating as many people as possible about the Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), about people living with it and about positive stories.

A campaign to bring community education about people living with Autism. A pledge to leaders to have and fund a comprehensive Nationwide education program; from early intervention to work training and accomodations. Autism Spectrum is a life-time condition, There are no standards for education, no Federal prgrams, few State programs that address this serious national problem. 1.500,000 people living with Autism can't be ignored !

Program availability, quality, access to, docent training, and very few work programs vary greatly in quality, funding, are mostly private, run for profit, or run by very dedicated parents or educators.

We know we will make a difference and help improve the daily lives of individuals, families and communities living with Autism.

We are glad to dedicate this effort in honor of Eduardo, the oldest child in our family; I 'm quitting my job, live out of savings, do home schooling, sell or store most of our belongings, postpone all other activities and give up a lot of daily comforts while living on an RV for more than a year to accomplish this goal.
