Welcome to my site.

In Summer 2005-2006 I completed what has become known as "Stage One" of the Australian Alps Walking Track, from Walhalla to Hotham, finishing by heading out to Feathertop then down to Harrietville.

While I was researching the walk, I found invaluable hints and comments on the websites of various people who have already completed the track, so I am now posting my own notes in the hope that they will also be of assistance to others.

Gear & Food List: A total pack weight of just over 21 kgs carrying 18 days food was not too bad!

Over Summer 2006-2007 I was to have walked "Stage Two" being Hotham toThredbo, however the bush fires in Victoria enforced a last minute change of plans and so we found ourselves walking from Tharwa to Thredbo instead.
