Welcome to the new "lazy-boy" homepage of Acle Table Tennis Club...

Acle Table Tennis Club is at Acle High School every Tuesday evening, 6:30pm until 9:00pm, except when detailed below...

From now on, all important information will be displayed here - for example, the club is open for the next two Tuesday nights (11th and 18th March)... The Pirates have league matches on both nights, but anyone is welcome to come along to play table tennis! The following two weeks are the Easter holidays, so it probably won't be possible to get the school hall on Tuesday evenings... After that, we hope to be there every week until the school kicks us out in favour of GCSEs...

Congratulations are due to Tyler Harrison, who reached the semi-finals of the Town Handicap Tournament on Tuesday 4th March - so congratulations Tyler!

Both Acle teams play in the Great Yarmouth and District Table Tennis League... Acle Pirates are currently 6th in Division Two, and Acle "B" are currently 9th in Division Two...

A brief history:
The club was founded in 2005 by a group of teenage students who discovered a passion for the game of table tennis whilst playing during lunch breaks...

After leaving High School, we were determined to continue playing...
We set up our own team, and joined a local league (the Great Yamouth and District Table Tennis League) in order to keep playing...

As young players, we never received any support or coaching at High School...

As determined as we were to keep ourselves playing, we were equally determined that other youngsters should get the opportunity to play and improve at this great game..

To that end we set up Acle Table Tennis Club - a fun and friendly environment where anybody of any standard can play table tennis...
