WARGAME REFERENCES

This is a quick list of references used within wargames to create the game. You might know that most of the unit names (the tanks, ships and bomber) is actualy names of British war machines. Unlike a lot of countries, us British like to give much more interesting names than code names.

This picture is of the British Halifax bomber used during WW2. A lot of the current wargames units are based on ones during ww2, this isnt to create a ww2 styled game, but rather a game that builds from the start of tanks, ships, bombers, and nuclear weapons, and allow the player to research into newer war machines. Of course this hasnt been implemented yet, but will do in the future. The halifax was later replaced for the better bomber class of Lancaster, but was used for all sorts of missions including a trasportation vechicle.

This one is of a daring class Destroyer. Its a slightly earlier version than the one I used for the icon in the game, but remains about the same. This is one from 1949, and this class ran service for as long as the 70's before being sold off or decommissioned. In wargames this is a war machine that'll last awhile when attacked, but its strength isnt one to completely rely on.

This is the Iron Duke, this ship was used during the first world war, and saw action in the second world war. Its fate was to be sold as scrap, but not until a good 34 year service. In wargames this is a powerful ship, which will probably survive any attacks by small forces, and even then is likely to remain in a good fight.
