A BRIEF HISTORY:
Formed in 1997 in Plasmarl, just outside Swansea, South Wales, The Afterglow have spent the last 11 years playing hundreds of gigs in the South Wales area and beyond, and have developed their sound and style to where they are one of the most original and exciting bands to come out of the area in recent memory. Fronted by the twin vocals of Joel and James Morgan (guitar and bass respectively) and held together by the phenomenal drum work of Ben Leach, The Afterglow are a truly original act who will bring you to your knees with berserk riffs, strange chords, thumping bass melodies, bizarre time-changes, uncompromising noise and moments of unrestrained beauty and grace. Current plans are to record another album late in 2008, which will be preceded by a single in August. They have recorded several self-financed EP's and albums, which are available for purchase here.
