Calendar - 2006

We are currently offering three  types of events.  Our bimonthly meetings are considered the core of our group and include great discussions on a wide variety of topics.  See previous topics for a sampling. 

We also have monthly mothers outings.  Finally, we have two family outings a month. Please R.S.V.P to Siobhan McCoy at 331-0133 at least 24 hours prior to the outing if you are interested in attending so that we make sure that we meet up with everyone at the event. All fees involved with outings are the responsibility of the member.

Please note that nights out are for Mothers and More members only. Visit the national website for information on joining Mothers and More.

All Regular Meetings are currently held at Sunrise Assisted Living,
on Tramway and Manitoba (just north of Montgomery). If you're unsure about becoming an official member, feel free to join us at a regular meeting!  We are currently looking for a new regular place to meet that is more central in Albuquerque.

Thursday, August 3rd
Regular Meeting, 7 pm at Sunrise Assisted Living. Topic: Balancing Career with Child Care Preferences

Tuesday, August 8th
Bookclub Meeting, 7 pm at Flying Star on Juan Tabo.  Book: A Brief History of the Dead

Sunday, August 13th
Family Outing, Madrid Music Festivals Presents: SUMMERTIME STOMP in Madrid, New Mexico (which is between Tijeras and Santa Fe on 14). The hours of the event are 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm at the Oscar Huber Memorial Ballpark. There will be local arts and crafts vendors, food, ice cream, lemonade and the atmosphere of Madrid...This is a fund-raiser for the town of Madrid, so the admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students, $7 for teens and Children under 12 are FREE. The event will feature musical performances by Hundred Year Flood and The Texas Sapphires and the Withdrawals.

Thursday, August 17th
Regular Meeting, 7 pm at Sunrise Assisted Living. Topic: Open Meeting (bring your own topic, thoughts, concerns, vents!)

Friday, August 25th
Family Outing, Rio Grande Zoo presents Feast with the Beasts. This is a great event for the family to enjoy the zoo. The times for the event are 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and everyone should bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the grass. NMBPS Members are FREE and guests are $5. There will be entertainment and free activities for kids such as face painting, clowns and a jump castle.
