SYNOPSIS
Through her narratives, Aalyiah takes you on a personal journey. One that makes her ranting and raving about societal ills but ending with her bitter sweet embrace of the responsibility she has in ending existence. Through an intimate relationship with her Divine Creator, she expresses the disappointment by questioning salvation for society. She finally realizes, through dreams and visits from Beings not of her world, she agreed to a destiny that would end existence. All she wanted to do in life was graduate, get a job, marry and have a family. This short story explains, through unique ideas and a frustrated narrator, how some of us choose our destiny in life even if the choice seems an unlikely one.
CHARACTER BIOS
Aalyiah: Is frustrated in regards to the challenges in her life mixed with what her responsibilities are. Like other human beings, she feels it is her turn to contribute to society with the intellectual knowledge gained. She learns she will be contributing to society, but not exactly in the way she planned. Through her narratives, one finds she struggles to understand why she is destined to unconventional measures, and then becomes at peace with a means to an end.
Rataj: Soul mate to Aalyiah, is pre destined to be with her, the father of her children, and assists Aalyiah in her responsibilities.
Olbaid: Is assigned responsibilities as well, but are opposite of Aalyiah. In fact, his goals effect any salvation that should come to society. It is not quite clear what his title truly is, but his master is that of a negative energy that continuously forces society in paranoia, selfishness, and murder.....ultimately self destruction. Born and raised in a world of negativity, he knows no mercy and no grace, only horror and iniquity.
Imhotep: Able to walk both reality and the great beyond, he is the Executive Keeper of Aalyiah's destiny. Always around when Aalyiah is facing a challenge she might not be able to handle, he steps in to finish what might have prematurely begin only to correct it.
Instructor: A Soul or Being not identified in reality. It is described as an extraterrestrial, and is favored by the Divine Creator. It has a presence in the past as well as the future. It reveals itself to Aalyiah in dreams, and in her past. Only to suggest why she exists in reality.
Divine: An Energy, neither created nor destroyed, is the Creator of all in existence and beyond the comprehension.
