We are "The Unwanted Children of Art."
You might say, what does that mean exactly. Well, in short we ARE outsider art. We have very little concern for public approval. We just wish to continue doing what we do. It is art, for the sake of art; and ourselves. An uncompromised vision that leads many people to throwing us, our ideals, and our actions away. And yet we carry forward because DOING SOMETHING is important; NOT what people think about what you are doing.
The films from Abortion Bin Productions are all financed in house. We do not seek outside investors; grant money or the "hypocritically titled" Producers (who happen to produce nothing of thier own at all). Money is invested by those who are involved and who can give because they believe in the project and thier own work in it; meaning they will also serve as PA's, Set Designers, Special Effects Assistant, Actors or Musicians. No money for productions is ever required from anyone, and thus far Brian and Brandon are the two individual who have provided the capital for the raw materials. We consider participation and drive more important to the production values of the film than cash. By operating in this way we have managed to keep the average budget of our films to $3000 dollars, and in doing so have insured that the film belongs to those whom have made it and not someone who sat on the side lines.
Abortion Bin Productions, through this website, attempts to offer its fans original hand made collectibles of our products; rather than mass produced identicle goods. Cd's, DvD's, Books and Promotional Materials are all limited to 100 to 250 copies that are designed, printed and assembled by the same people who made them. Once they are gone they may be released in a different form or presentation; but no item is identicle or will ever be duplicated. No matter how big we get this tradition will continue as we want our true fans to have what WE PRODUCED.
Don't get us wrong, our dvd's and soon the books of Brandon Hursell will be available from retailers, through third parties such as Sub Rosa Studios; as we are not capable of producing large supplies; nor if we were able to, would retail or on-line stores carry a product that was not, "official." However, in choosing our third part distributors we personally insure that those companies embody the spirit we have and came from grass roots operations.
