ALVIDON F. ASIS,  M. Sc.  (QPC No. 005) of Vinzons,  Camarines Norte,  Philippines traveled with fellow philatelist Architect Jon Eliseo Ramos in Vietnam last April.   The short 10-day vacation was spent visiting at least 12 major cities.   He visited the famous post office building in Ho Chi Minh and the ultra modern postal office in Ha Noi.  For him,  Vietnam have nice stamps and modern postal services.

IPPS - Q2 2009 Philatelic Auction

Greetings.

I am pleased to announce that IPPS Mail Sale #58 is now online which once again includes a good selection of material covering the Spanish, US, Japanese, and Republic periods of the Philippines.  The auction is open to both IPPS members and non-IPPS members.  Please view the Auction at the following link on the IPPS homepage and proceed through to the Auction sections of your choice :

http://www.theipps.info/auction.htm

Please note that an enhancement has been made which provides an online bidding form located at the top left corner of the above link.  This was created as a result of feedback received from a number of bidders, and we hope this makes it easier for you to lodge your bids.  A confirmation email will be forwarded to confirm receipt of your bids. For those who are not currently members of the IPPS, and where Philippine philately plays a part in your life, I would highly recommend membership to obtain all the benefits from the Association including the quarterly Journal.  Annual membership is as low as US$10 which includes electronic copies of the IPPS Journal. Hope to see you as members in the near future. As always, any feedback on ways of improving the auction or any other suggestions in relation to the IPPS or Philippine philately in general, is always welcome.

Consignments for future auctions are also accepted.  Please email me : nigel@nigelgooding.co.uk for further details.  If you decide to bid ... good luck and thanks for taking the time to view the Auction online.

Kind regards,

Nigel (QPC No. 022)
