Hello and Welcome to the University of Abertay, Dundee LGBT Society Website.
Abertay LGBT Society was founded in 2005 and is a society dedicated to all Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transperson students of Abertay University. The Society also warmly welcomes students from The University of Dundee. We exist for a variety of reasons, however, first and foremost we are a social society. In other words a society up for a drink and a laugh. We aim to organise a variety of social events each year within, and also outwith, Dundee. We also exist in order to provide our members with knowledge on a wide variety of LGBT issues and this is achieved by the use of guest speakers and also a number of resources which are available to the society.
Whether your a brand new fresher or a student who has been studying for a few years, everyone is welcome to come along to the meetings. Our Society meetings take place on the first and third Mondays of each month (unless otherwise notified) @ 19:00 based within the Cinema on Level 3 of Abertay Union. Everyone is made to feel welcome and it will give you a chance to meet other members of the society and also the committee members.

We also offer a Be-friending service. Not everyone has a LGBT friend and it can be hard coming along to a meeting and not knowing anyone. We have all been at that stage in our lives where there is a hurdle in front of us preventing us from meeting people who have the same LGBT feelings as us and it is for this reason we provide this friendly service.
