Villareal trap Giants again, Real Going well
|
| Once again Villareal trapped another giant, Valencia, into a 3-1 defeat on away, while Real won Mallorca also 3-1, Barcalona victored in Nou Camp 3-0 over Santander after a beautiful game, also in the most exciting match in this week's (20th week) matches is Bilbao and Osansuna which ended 4-3 for Bilbao the home side, while finally Deportivo scored a win against a top positioned team -Espanyol- 4-1 on home ground. |

Barcalona fall!! Real Win!!

 In a very akward situation and a very strange day, a bad Real Madrid defeated Athletico Madrid in the capital derby match 3-0 with the last two in 5 minutes and the first in the 15th minute, looking at the times and ammount of goals, you'd think that Real had the upper hand, however it is the completely opposite! Athletico was putting continuos pressure on Real's defense if it weren't for Iker Casillas who deserves the title of "Man of the Match". But also, first place Barcalona lost to Villareal in their worst appearance ever this season 3-0 also on Villareal's home ground. (9 January 2005) |

Zidane gives Real the Chance again

 Zidane gave Real Madrid the chance to still be in the title race after a win against Real Scocidad in Bernabeu in competion of the last six minutes of the game, in the 88th minute, a penalty was awarded and Zidane not Figo, went for it and scored.Real is in third place.(5Jan.2005) |

Catalon and Valencia lose 2 ponits, Real second
|
Camp Nou witnessed another Barca-Valencia match full of violence and fights, Barca was constantly pounding Canizares who was up to the challenge. Fiore managed to score nevertheless for Valencia in the 63 min., after that, the game was thick of tension, Valencia almost scored a second if it weren't for Valdes, who caught the ball outside the 18-yard box and got a red card, and in the 78 min, Ronaldinho falls and gets a penalty which is scored by the fallen man himself.
On the other hand, Real's late scorer Zidan managed a 3-2 win over Racing after a very interesting game was played by the visitors, Ronaldo was out of the formation line up for a strain, and Carlos and Beckham were on the bench.(18 Dec. 2004) |
