Written Word Weekend (31/7/09 till 3/8/09)
The first and annual 'Written Word Weekend' is to be held in Drumshanbo over the 2009 August Bank Holiday weekend (31st July - 3rd August). Expect readings by local writers, poets and playwrights, both published and unpublished, workshops, write-offs and book stalls.
Over the course of the weekend a magazine, 'Written Word Rag', will be compiled of the best material generated by participants in the workshops and write-0ff plus comments, reviews and photos of the event. This will be available for purchase on the final day.
If you are a writer, poet or book seller in the Leitrim or wider area and would like to take part in this event please get in contact. If you would like to help out or sponsor please contact us as well and we can make the first year even better.
