The kc took over in 1935 the changed the breed standard to shorter legs shorter muzzle and generally they would not be able to do the job they were bred for oldetyme is used a lot to cover pitbulls ours are not they are fitter with longer muzzle and legs this is closer to how they were before the kc killed the breed we have used good dogs and these dogs are fit for purpose they could take down a bull. Not that wed ever do that this is why we do sports with them instead

Hi, I am so pleased that health is more important in these staffies. I used to own and show staffies many years ago but I am deeply concerned about the breed standard today. So short and bully. Too many health problems occurring. Keep up the good work.

Who wants to see a real staffordshire bull terrier, would have to look this page and little else. The rest are French bull dog mutations.
Congratulations for your excellent work. Seeing these dogs take us back to England in the late nineteenth century.

hi darren rameses jumped over a 6 foot fence after a cat a car then scared him and he ran off for over 8 hours when he finally found his way back he was only 200 yards from home when he was hit by a car. We were out all day trying to find him and hed been spotted as far as 6 miles away.

OMG that is so sad, my boy loves to chase cats but he just slams into the fence to knock them off, they always fall the other side lol....

Hi all, great site with some really impressive dogs, didn't realise there was still so many good quality athletic staffs about, I thought between the ukc and back yard breeder they had nearly ruined our national dog!, keep up the good work

Hello,

We live in South Yorkshire so quite a long way away which is a pity.  I try to keep my boy as active as possible with 2 one hour walks every day a 3 mile run 3 times a week and lots of games.  It is such a shame when we lose a dog so young Rameses looked a cracker, what happened to him, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for your comments :)

Hi great site i agree with everything your dogs stand for they are true staffordshire bull terriers as they should be and im glad ive found a site that promotes and preserves sbt's as they should be and not merely for cosmetic reasons great work awesome dogs :)

Brilliant site. We rescued a young staff last year and people are always asking if he is a cross as he is tall, muscular (Does love the exersice) and with a longer muzzle.  He looks so much like a couple of the dogs here I had to do a double take. Fantastic looking healthy dogs. Keep up the good work.

Hello, I was wondering where I could get a genuine Stafford from. Your dogs look wonderful and I was wondering if you could give me any info on litters that might be coming up. Any assistance would be more than welcome:)...
