Shakka-Staffs Athletic Staffords

Athletic, Fit not Fat dog's the way theyre meant to be.

         Shakkastaffs Mockingbird

Through no fault of her own Scout is up for re-homing. Scout is out of Brindeys Red Rose (Caliburn) and Shakkastaffs Black Prince (Osiris), she is 3 years old and has been spayed.

Scout is good with children and people, not very good with cats or dogs but may tolerate a male dog who is laid back. She loves running (canicross), playing tug, cuddles and travels well in the car.

She is a very driven girl who I think will excel in some sort of sport as she is regularly goes running with previous owner.

Shakka-Staffs....... promoting the athletic olde tyme stafford.

We prefere the olde tyme (old time) staffordshire bull terrier, before the K.C got involved and changed the breed standard several times. We still support the K.C and all our dogs are kennel club stock. We prefere a more athletic type of stafford, fit for purpose, agile taller muscular and not fat. We do not condone any cruelty or fighting with dogs. We do not claim to breed old time working staffords we prefere to say we own athleticly bred stafford's, Much closer to the type they once were.

Stafford's need stimulation. We do this by taking part in shows across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Oxford and hopefully international this year. We take part in competitions and fun days involving weightpulling, lure racing, long/high jump, speedpulling, A-frame and agility amongst other things.  We do country fair's, dog show's, charity events and athletic shows too.

Our Staffords are happy dogs who love everything they take part in. They are great family dogs also. We keep them very active. They are great with people and children. They are very much part of the family.

There are far too many unwanted staffords in the UK today. Far too many breeding's for the money. Any breeding (if any) advertized on this page will be for the better of the breed in our opinion, taking things back to how they used to be. Fit not Fat dogs. (only our opinion). In the uk the sbt is in danger of going the way of the pitbull with irresponsable and untrained owners, breeders pumping out litter after litter and too many sbt's in rescue or dumped. Peoples perception have been blinded by media, they are the nanny dog, THE ONLY breed the K.C say are good with children in the breed description. Their loyalty has been their undoing, in the wrong hands YES these dogs can be dangerous. In the right hands a pleasure.
