The first pairs were issued about 1956, with numbers starting at 1. 

Historical (Permanent) - Type 2

A die change occurred in the 1960s.

 

Historical - flat type

This flat style plate was introduced around 2005.

USAGE

Historical plates are for vehicles over 30 years old that are used only for special occasions (exhibitions, parades, etc.) and not general transportation.  Plates are permanent for the life of the vehicle, and the user pays only a one-time registration fee.
