Oklahoma    (OK)

Antique (Yellow Sun base)

First issued in 1985, with numbers starting at AV-1.  Also confirmed on this base is number AV-3457.

Antique (Osage Battle Shield base)

This base was issued beginning in 1989.  Serial numbers continued in the AV0000 format.

Classic (Osage Battle Shield base)

The Classic type also uses the "AV" prefix.

USAGE

Antique or Classic plates are for vehicles that are at least 25 years old and used for historical or exhibition purposes only.  It appears that Oklahoma has discontinued using the "Antique" legend and now issues only "Classic" plates for antique cars.
