OLD TIMER

White on blue Old Timer, Type 1

First issued in pairs about 1973.  For the first couple years, renewal stickers were used on the rear plate.

New dies were introduced in the mid 1970s.

Higher numbered plates exhibit different positioning of the state name.

This base appeared in 1984.

This base first appeared about 2001.

USAGE

Horseless Carriage plates are for vehicles manufactured in 1915 or earlier.  The application form for these plates must be validated by the Horseless Carriage Club of Nevada.  An annual renewal fee is charged.

Old Timer plates are for vehicles manufactured more than 40 years before the date of application.  There are no special restrictions on vehicle usage.  An annual renewal fee is charged.
