American Farm Bulldogs

Arkabutla Farm's Kennel

Wt Boy X Patches

I have a litter of 7 WEBs on the kitchen floor. They were born 1-16-07. This is Wt Boy X Patches. There is no pedigree, as they are from working stock, off a cattle farm in Georgia. If your looking for a working farm bulldog, these come straight off a farm.

This is a belly sibling breeding which should bring to surface hidden faults within the geno-type, if they so exsist. If not, and the pups prove to double up on sound type, the line will be established. So far, the litter is proving to be very consistant. Not much to say though only after a few weeks.

"There is no doubt at all that the intensely inbred test litter described above is by far the most direct method of establishing the genotype - the genetic qualities of an animal."                                                                                                                                                                              "The very fact that this promising young dog has been allowed to reproduce himself at such an early age makes it possible to assess his hereditary qualities by the time he is eighteen months old. His own progeney are his best recommendation."  The Technique of Breeding Better Dogs, by Dr Dieter Fleig

Inbreeding Test Conclusion

The results are in, localized demodex of dime sized patches, requiring no treatment, was diognosed. Only one breedable pup, Uncle Cracker, did not show any sign. Conclusion: Even though localized demodex is no different than treating for mites, the same as treating for fleas or chiggers, more WEBs are to be entered into the gene pool for greater genetic diversity.

Direction of Arkabutla Kennels in breeding WEBs: I have obtained one %100 Carr line bred WEB, a male. The Carr line has been bred pure over 80 years, and will be the direction of Arkabutla Kennels to continue this line. The Carr line is a serious line bred for guarding cattle and livestock in Middle Georgia. One need only speak with the locals to hear of the Carr line. Hanging out at the feed stores in Middle Georgia and speaking with farmers will tell the truth of Bulldogs in the South. These old farmers do not have any vested interest in selling pups, so I suggest one learn from the real experts - the farmers.
